Flyp, you might want to check out lysine ointment, rather than taking the pills. This stuff comes in a little pot (like lip stuff does) and it works very well. They might have it at GNC or a store like that.

I used to get cold sores frequently, and they lasted for more than a week. I started taking 1500mg of Lysine every day along with my vitamins, and I almost NEVER get them anymore. Also, when I do get them, they are gone in a few days. It is cheap, good for you (according to the health nut people) and sure works well for me. When my office assistant came on board four years ago, she used to get them alot, also. She started taking Lysine on my recommendation and has had the same response as I had.
The most reasonable place to get them that I have found is Costco (do they have Costco where you are?) if not, a good mail order source is The Vitamin Shoppe. They are online at http://www.VitaminShoppe.com

but you should check out your local used cd stores and maybe online for used cds and you’ll probably find some of them that you lost.

We have Nature’s Own, L-Lysine in the 500 mg tablets. It is like swallowing a dinner plate, but they do the trick. Although, my wife said to just find the cheapest brand. They have all worked for her.

DVous, at the risk of blowing my “nice guy” image around here, I’ll tell you that the cases were actually going to hold something, uhh, unhealthy. I’ve since changed my plan, but if you want to know what I was going to put in them, take a quick look around in one of the other forums.
My new plan is much less lethal, and probably holds a smaller chance of legal action being taken against me.
