I’ve been a lurker forever and enjoy the exchanges and information I’ve learned. I recently posted a few comments but apparently my brain is not working on all cylinders because I had to put out other posts explaining who I was responding to. Have I given everyone a headache yet? Anyway, happy to be on board.

These folks will let you know if you piss them off. I have found that they tend to be fairly patient with newbies for a few minutes. Not weeks, nor days, but minutes at best.

Instead of “Well, I don’t agree with that,” people here are more likely to say, “That’s incredibly ignorant, and you obviously don’t know the first thing about the topic.” It gets harsh here! So, take it with a big swig of Pepto!

The cool thing is that you can debate politics, or ask the weirdest question about just about anything.
You will almost always get an answer. Often it is correct, at least about weird stuff.
I think I resent being called weird stuff, even if it is true.

I was going for a sort of ironic “welcome the fresh meat to the prison block because we are so hard core badass here” vibe. Not all my material works all the time.
