hi, i just registered as a new user, and i figured i should introduce myself.
my name is nick, i’m from columbus ohio. i currently have no job, and do not go to school. i am 16 years old. i have many interests, a few being: books, computers, movies, girls. not always in that order. i am reading - for the fifth time - “War of the Worlds” by H.G. Wells, who is easily one of my favorite authors. i recently finished “Compass Of the Soul”, which is the sequel to “Beneath the Vaulted Hills”, both excellent.
i’ve been interested in computers for as long as i can remember, although i didn’t get one until 5th grade. since then, a vast amount of my time has been spent in front of a monitor.
this past weekend i saw “Hollow Man”. definately one of the worst movies ever. i don’t know why producers/writers think that seeing a person’s head being smashed against a pipe, and blood spurting everywhere is somehow attractive. not only was the excessive goriness of the movie disgusting, it was also very poorly written. i think they mentioned that the guy’s eyelids were transparent 10 times.
anyway, that’s it. if you actually read this far, i’ll be pretty suprised

Yeah, ‘Hollow Man’ sucked, all right. I love how a director thinks man with 3rd degree burns over his entire body who has been clocked in the head with a crow bar would still be able to fight.
You see those long keys right beside the “Z” and “/” keys?
Right beneath the “Caps Lock” and “Enter” keys? They have “Shift” written on them? Amazing things really. They actually capitilize letters!!!
Dammit Cheif! You can’t go around giving out all of our secrets right away! That kind of information in the wrong hands could be dangerous!!! Nick could END UP POSTING LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME!!! -and that would suck.

Hello there, nick. Yeah, Hollow Man sure was a crap-fest. The filmmakers got lazy and unimaginative and decided instead of letting this “hollow man” explore the city, they should instead make him go crazy, lock him in a warehouse with his coworkers, and turn it into another genre exercise. And a bad genre exercise at that. Take all of the action and horror cliches you can think of, and that’s what they tried to cram into the last hour of the movie. Then there was the acting and dialogue.
Anyway, welcome aboard! Please excuse my rant. Welles’s War of the Worlds? Good book. Ever read any of his other stuff? His The Invisible Man is pretty darn good, in comparison.
