Hidden Folder Help..

I was searching around my computer today and i found a file in the recycle bin which was of great use to me, i had tracked its location down to, lets say C:\Case\A

but when i looked through C:\Case i could find no folder marked A.

So how do I do something like this?

thanks.

How do you do WHAT like this? Are you trying to return the file to its original location? Or are you also trying to find OTHER important files that were at one time in the “A” folder?

If you simply want to put the file back where it belongs, create a folder and call it “A” in the “Case” folder and then drag the file into it.

Sometimes real “hidden folders” exist on your hard drive. There is a process in Win 95-98 through My Computer whereby you can deliberately hide or unhide a folder.

When you view your hard drive, My Computer should tell how many items are there and also say “(x number hidden).” I used to know how to hide and unhide folders but I’ve forgotten now. How do you do that again?

If you just want to restore the file, right click on it and it will restore it, automatically creating any folders that are missing.

If you’ve already done this, but can’t see the file or folder, go to View…Options and choose “View all files” (or whatever it is in 9x). If this doesn’t work, you may have misremembered the restore path. Try searching your HD for the file.

If you find the folder, and it’s hidden, you can right click on it, choose Properties, and unclick “Hidden” to have it viewed normally.

sorry, i didnt make myself clear.

I wanted to know how to make it hidden.

but thanks for the help, i know now.
