Highlander 2, Star Trek V, and other things that didn't happen

And there was no Avengers after Diana Rigg left. What would have been the point?

I’ll never forget the last episode of MARRIED WITH CHILDREN, when Steve left and a heartsick Marcy moved away and the new neighbor was a cute guy named Jeff Dahmer…

There was no blond kid besides Kelly. Nope.

“Batman” was a fantastic film, but I’m glad they stopped while they were ahead and didn’t make a shitload of fucking awful sequals.

Another vote for only one “Jaws” film.

Micheal Jackson tragically died from a candy corn overdose in 1985.

Amen!

Oh, and great screen name, by the way. A fitting tribute to one of the world’s great eaters.

Gentry Lee? Never heard of the guy.

Oh, and someday someone will make a movie based on a Heinlein novel. Can’t remember one since Destination Moon.

I’m surprised that so far no one has mentioned that strange gap in Bond film releases between ‘Octopussy’ and ‘The Living Daylights’.
Shame, really, as Duran Duran even release a song in 1984 that would have a great Spy/Action movie theme…

And they certainly never made a movie out of the Avengers, either. Too bad.

It’s a good thing, meanwhile, that Frank Herbert recognized that he only had one novel in him. I mean, Dune did a perfectly good job of wrapping up the story; Herbert was smart enough to see that he didn’t need sequels. Certainly, there were no sequels written by other folks.

Newsradio stopped when ‘Catherine’ Left the show. They certainly never ever would try another season after Phil Hartman died.

Boy the first season of Third Rock from the sun was sooo funny. It was filled with social commentary about humans from an alien perspective. It’s nice they realized their work was done and stopped after that. They never did the same jokes/observations over and over and over.

I thought it was weird Robert Jordan wrapped up his series in 5 books. It seemed like it could go on and on and on even to the point of resurrecting dead characters or making totally boring books where nothing interesting happens.

There was never ever a book called The Pillars of Creation by Terry Goodkind. I wish he’d make a sequel to Faith of the Fallen already. It seems like he could have put out at least two books by now.

David Eddings made some good young adult books. A series called Belgariad and another Elenium. Why he never revisited these worlds is beyond me.

Stranger in a Strange Land is such a good book. I wonder why it quit the moment he laughed at the monkeys. Seemed like there was more to tell.

It’s sad that Stephen King died after witting Shinning, Dead zone and Firestarter. Seems like he could have had more books then that.

It’s good to know that Isaac Asimov realised that three Foundation novels was enough.

Batman Forever is dead to me.

**Lethal Weapon 3 and 4 ** (Yes, I know your too old for this shit)

I heard that some authors wanted to write a second Foundation trilogy. I’m glad that the trustees of Asimov’s estate nixed the idea.

Seriously?
The Japanese Super Mario Bros 2?
The one that was a natural extension of the first and very hard to boot, unlike the US/Europe version which was a “reimaging” of a piece of shit game that without the mario characters would no doubt never have got released and was shockingly easy?

I agree that Zelda 2 never happened.
And your post regarding the japanese SMB2

Sorry, but Im standing up for Alien 3, and the Bond went from Roger Moore to Pierce Brosnan.

Friday the 13th was a good horror, and making it the mum as the killer was a real twist. Its lucky they didnt do a lot more of them with an immortal son, who ends up being shot out into space and burning up on re-entry after another 9 films have passed.

And there is only 1 final destination and thats that - FINALY… Death gives no 2nd chance

The TV series Beauty and the Beast folded when star Linda Hamilton left the show. At least they wrapped up the series with a happy ending where Catherine chose to join Vincent in the underworld permanently. I once read this awful fanfic where Catherine was brutally tortured and murdered, and Vincent became a avenging killer.

Yes, I distiinctly remember, it was a fanfic story. And I think I must have had a nightmare about it because I can see “scenes” from this alternate version in my imagination. But nope, no way they’d ever air something like that.

Well I should hope so! I wouldn’t want to frequent any Buffy forum where people can just prattle on about kooky seasons that were never made!

Thank goodness the series ended before the had the chance to make Spike and Buffy a real couple. I know that would have turned out badly. And boy, I just know Xander and Anya are going to have a wonderful life together. And Willow and Tara! Why, Willow’s such a pro with her magic now.

And whatever happened to that Ultimate War miniseries that Marvel was going to publish? It’d be super neat to have the Ultimates and the Ultimate X-Men meet up one day! A shame it was cancelled and never spoken of again.

What’s that you say? La la la la la…

It’s good that Roger Zelazny never fell into the same trap as other SF authors and started writing follow-ups to his stories. I mean, consider the Amber series - five perfect books. Absolutely no need to add anything.

oh man i can’t bleive i’m the first to say this

there are only three Dune novels, and his son will never hire some goy to write prequales and then put his own name on them ever

Dolph Lundgren never played he-man and oh yeahg the “New adventures of he-man” the series from the early 90’s yeah that never happened either

BTW this is not the series curently on coartoon netwrok i like that one
