“Trump says some deplorable things, but Hillary is downright evil”
I have come across this sentiment often enough and yet I can’t recall anything Hillary has done that can even remotely be described as evil.
She has had three major official investigations, Whitewater, Benghazi, and E-mails, cleared on all counts and there are calls for more investigations and locking her up.
Can anyone describe to me what she’s done that makes Trump less evil than Hillary ?
She continues to exist apparently.
Being officially cleared by investigation doesn’t mean she’s been cleared in the minds of many Americans.
Other than killing Vince Foster, none of the things she didn’t do but was accused of would even make her “evil” if she did them. Of course, I don’t think a 36% top marginal tax rate is evil either.
Oh, I forgot about the Pizza Parlor Child Sex Ring. That would be evil, if true.
HRC got 3,000,000 popular votes more than Trump. That’s a wrong the orange buffoon’s fragile ego simply can’t forgive.
Well, at least those who criticize CNN and The Washington Post as “fake news” but uncritically accept everything they get from Fox News and InfoWars.
Hillary Clinton has had some notable lapse of ethics and good judgment in some of her personal affiliations and business dealings, but nothing that is out of the norm for a public figure who has been in politics for nearly five decades. The most substantial criticism surrounded her decision to set up and use a private e-mail server for official communications, which she was warned about repeatedly but appears to have done out of a sense of entitlement and convenience rather than any intentional malfeasance. The delays in making e-mails available for Justice Depatment review and the improper handling of sensitive information (unmarked and improperly distributed from unclassified government e-mail servers) is ethically suspect but didn’t compromise any sensitive operations or government programs.
Her tenure as Secretary of State was pretty spotty, but that is a job largely defined by big successes or failures that are often beyond control. The kerfluffle over the attack on the Bengazi annex, while occurring under her aegis, was an attempt to make her personally responsible for security decisions of a minor facility that would be far below her purview. “Pizzagate”, Vince Foster’s suicide, et cetera, are scandals manufactured out of innuendo and rumor. Her most offensive actions were denying accusations by women regarding her husband’s infidelities/assaults and slandering their reputations even though she likely knew at least some of the allegations to be true, but that was Hillary being a canny political animal rather than a malicious conspirator.
On the other hand, Hillary has never been indicted, much less successfully prosecuted or censured for any inappropriate business dealings such as, hypothetically speaking, a fraudulent “university” in her name and had to pay out a multimillion dollar settlement, or communicated with intelligence services of hostile foreign powers to undermine the US electoral process, or threated a political opponent with prison were she to win. I’m morally certain she knows what the nuclear triad is, and had she been elected president would not be snubbing important long-standing military and economic allies to hobnob with demogogues and dictators. She might well habe staffed her cabinet with investment bankers and political donors, but they’d be at least marginally competent in the roles they were nominated to, and she wouldn’t have appointed people dedicated to destorying the agencies they are supposed to lead.
Also, she had normal size hands for a woman of her stature and can shake hands and drink water from a bottle like an adult human being.

Now, now; as Trump tweeted on 27 November of last year, ”In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally." And what possible reason would he have to lie about such a readily verifiable fact. That would be like lying about the size of his inauguration crowd, or that he saw thousands of Muslims cheering at the collapse of the World Trade Center towers.

You’re also forgetting that she personally ordered the marines not to rescue the Americans in Benghazi, and along with Obama literally co-founded ISIS.

Republicans have been saying she’s evil for decades. And other than gaining political power, vast sums of money, and emotional satisfaction by saying this, they have no reason to lie.
I’m relieved that we have a president like Trump. It’s refreshing to know that millions of the most vulnerable people in this country will lose their health coverage next year, that poor and disabled veterans are more likely to end up on the streets homeless, that seniors are going to have less for retirement, that the people who really need tax cuts - people like Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates - are finally going to catch a break, that the major telecom firms are going to charge us increasingly more money for increasingly less service.
I’m thankful that we have a president who regularly threatens the increasingly fragile 200+ year institution of the free press for doing their job, who wakes up and tells lie after outrageous lie, who hires staffers with a view of truth and “alternative facts” that only Joseph Goebbels, Pravda, and the most notorious dictatorial information ministries in history could appreciate, who threatens political opponents with criminal investigations, who makes the blatantly false claim that a former president committed a felony wiretap, who spins conspiracy theories the way spiders spin webs to deconstruct our nation’s intelligence services, who uses such lies to deny justice to those who are victimized by abusers of power and who abuses power to obstruct justice, who ignores the climate change threat that imperils the future of humanity, who puts the equivalent of a flat-earther and geocentric universe theorist as the head of the EPA as a response, who destroys our most important diplomatic agency and replaces diplomacy with ‘his’ generals, and who can sow instability and discord with so much as a tweet. I’m thankful we have all of this and a corrupt republican congress that enables him.
Sure, he’s not perfect, but my God, we already know that Hillary Clinton murdered Vince Foster and Seth Rich with her bare hands, and she paid ISIS to murder embassy staff in Bengazi. Proof? Pffff, who needs proof?! We already know it happened - Project Veritas has her confessions on tape. I mean, if she were president right now she’d probably be emptying her recycle bin, defragging her hard drive, and deleting viral cat videos from her Facebook feed. We just couldn’t take that chance.
