You’re taking a joke seriously.
I didn’t see the skit. OH WAS THE ENDORSEMENT THE SKIT???
Well, I’m typing while watching. I found the back-and-forth documented by the Daily Show to be quite funny. And I think I have now seen that Mondale ad half-a-dozen times.
Wow, that close-up is really, really scary. (I am so glad this isn’t in HD.) The satellite problems aren’t helping her, but that at least is not her fault. (Or is it?) And how I hate that laugh. Yes, let’s go see people at the shift change. What a wonderful time to try to talk to them.
Oh, crap, there’s more of this? I wonder if this Lewis Black show will be any good.
It’s not bad to have a primary this long, but you’re throwing way too much crap trying to get something to stick.
Well, that interview was a big meh. Not sure how it could have really turned anyone in her favor.
She looks tired. I would be too. The way Clinton and Obama are campaigning, all that travel, the speeches, events, handshaking, etc. – at least we know they’re in good shape, physically.
Hillary was easier to listen to when she wasn’t smiling. She looked more natural.
Oh my good lord!
When you start to criticize an experienced politician because you actually believe that they wanted the endorsement of a hit or miss weekly sketch comedy show, you’ve just gone right over the edge.
All Ahead Obamania Gullibility Factor 9. Make it so!
Did you know that Clinton tried to get the endorsement of “Deal or No Deal” and they told her “No Deal”?
Did you know that the word gullible is not in the dictionary?
Good lord, are people actually disputing that Hillary Clinton went on SNL and The Daily Show because she hoped it would help her politically? I wonder if you think she toured factories in Cleveland because she’s really just fascinated with how office supplies are made.
That’s why I went to the one in Scranton.
Who is disputing that?
Scoll down to see my post after the one you responded to. I get it, it was a farce.
I liked John’s analogy of MLB’s 1941 season-- Ted Williams hits for .400, but Joe Dimaggio’s 56 game hit streak wins him the AL MVP. Two historical runs, but only one could get the ultimate glory.
Though Hillary has done consistently well and will probably finish with about 40 some percent of the numbers, I’m definitely liking how Obama’s the one on the Dimaggio side of the analogy with his 11 straight states.
I was hoping to see a different side of her, but aside from the one “pathetic” joke, all she was doing was throw out standard, boilerplate, stump talking points. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz. SNL might’ve given her a miniscule boost (she was on so briefly, but fared well enough), but I can’t see how this would’ve convinced anybody to switch sides.
Jon Stewart. Did they talk about health care?
I thought it was pretty dull and I doubt it changed anyone’s mind. I was hoping that Jon would ask at least one tough question but he softballed the whole thing. Which wasn’t unexpected but a little disappointing. I wasn’t expecting (or even hoping) for Stewart to grill her but something besides her typical stump points. It was just boring television.
I think this works better with the same-room dynamic, where he can feed off the energy of the guest and the audience. The feed last night was so bad, that it would’ve made any questioning like that difficult and unilluminating anyway. I think she could’ve done a better job answering the questions so she didn’t sound like she was on autopilot, though, so I put the majority of the blame on her.
Doh! I swear I usually know that, however, it is noted.
She’s been on autopilot for a week, I think last night’s show was supposed to be alittle more dynamic, but when she said she couldn’t do it live, it changed the whole thing. It’s tough I’m sure.
Is too! I just looked it up!
You know what’s the most important thing in comedy timing? The satellite feed fucked with that.
