Or it could be the “Big Lie” some other Germans talked about, a tactic used against Hillary often this election.
Uh… this isn’t an official Adaher Prediction, is it?
DIDN’T ANYBODY THINK TO PUT LIMITS ON HIS POWER???
Well, it was on my to-do list, but…
Well, at least we know who to blame, EH.
We already know it can’t and won’t include any of the vaunted Deep Bench from this cycle. So they’ll be dipping into the minors next time.
Actually, that’s not true, Trump leads even in the CNN/ABC poll. You’re behind the narrative. Are you going to deny the FBI and State Department IG dumps of evidence of Hillary’s criminal wrongdoing? My party is the Democrat Party circa 1992-1960. Things have fallen mightily since then. Hillary has much to answer to. Trump? Better than Hillary, but only by a whisker due to his inexperience. W? War criminal. That doesn’t change the fact that “modern-day Democrats” aren’t the same brand of war monger as the Neocons. After all, Hillary voted for their B/S/ war too. All of them did except for Kennedy (IIRC) and Boxer and some others, to follow: Daniel Akaka (D-HI) Jeff Bingaman (D-NM) Barbara Boxer (D-CA) Robert Byrd (D-WV) Lincoln Chafee (R-RI) Kent Conrad ND) Jon Corzine (D-NJ) Mark Dayton (D-MN) Richard Durbin (D-IL) Russell Feingold and a bunch others.
Hillary? She voted FOR Iraq 2003. How do you defend her? How? I’m all ears, really. And then, I have a story from my time in DC to feed out. You may not agree with me, but you can’t say I’m lying.
Well, Democrats love their Republicans docile and responsive to the liberal pro-immigration agenda and Trump undermines that. And I’m good with that. How about you?
Single polls don’t matter – it’s the aggregate that matters. Look to the experts like Nate Silver if you actually want to know what’s really going on – and right now, Hillary’s got a substantial (but not insurmountable) lead.
There is no evidence of criminal wrongdoing on the part of Hillary, per James Comey and all the other evidence.
There’s not a conspiracy – the mistakes just didn’t rise to the level of criminal negligence. In my 15 years experience active duty and civilian Navy, I knew dozens or maybe hundreds of people who mishandled classified info (almost always by accident), and none of them were prosecuted. It’s actually quite common, unfortunately, and is only prosecuted when it’s spying or released for profit or as a purposeful leak.
I don’t love Hillary, but I generally agree with her on the issues, including on the very important SCOTUS nominations. I prefer her stance on all social issues, I think she’s less likely to start a war (even if her record is more hawkish then I like), especially a nuclear war; I think she accepts science, unlike her opponent; I prefer her stances on economic issues like minimum wage, SS, and taxes; I prefer her stance on health care; she doesn’t have a record of saying ridiculous, outlandish, and racist things; she doesn’t subtly encourage white nationalism and white supremacism; she accepts that black lives really do matter when it comes to law enforcement and there is a real problem that should be addressed; and many other issues.
Hillary receives single $20,000,000 donation.
Facebook co-founder to give to various PACS to defeat Donald Trump.
3 days ago, her campaign called for another $100 million, btw.
Forgot to mention that Hillary (who, contrary to the liar Trump, did not start the birther conspiracy) is not and has never been a birther. I can’t take seriously a man who advocated for a conspiracy theory that has zero evidence for and tons of evidence against.
Indeed! In the Elections forum we are not allowed to call another poster a “liar.”
If you hadn’t spent the last few months hanging out at Breitbart, you might have seen previous posts on this topic. This from May 2015:
Your comments are not nearly as original & new as you seem to think. (And I doubt your “time in DC” will impress anyone.)
KIRK: Enough analysis. Let’s think of a way to get out of here. What about the Trump-Supporters inability to cope with the unexpected?
SPOCK: We shouldn’t depend on that happening again, Captain. In a society as well organised as this one seems to be, I cannot conceive of such an oversight going uncorrected.
Interesting, however. Their reaction to your defiance was remarkably similar to the reaction of a computer when fed insufficient or contradictory data.
KIRK: Are you suggesting the Trump-Supporters are mere computers, that they aren’t human?
SPOCK: Quite human, Captain. It’s simply that all the facts are not yet in. There are gaps.
KIRK: What is your theory, Mister Spock?
SPOCK: This is a soulless society, Captain. It has no spirit, no spark. All is indeed peace and tranquility. The peace of the factory, the tranquility of the machine. All parts working in unison.
KIRK: And when something unexplained happens, their routine is disrupted.
SPOCK: Until new orders are received. The question is, who gives those orders?
KIRK: Drumpf.
SPOCK: There is no Drumpf, Captain, not in the human sense.
KIRK: You’re thinking the same thing I am. Mister Spock, the plug must be pulled.
SPOCK: Sir?
KIRK: Drumpf must die.
SPOCK: Captain, our Prime Directive of non-interference.
KIRK: That refers to a living, growing culture. Do you think this one is?
Drumpf: All who saw you, all who know of your presence here must be excised. The memory of the Party will be cleansed.
KIRK: Listen to me.
SPOCK: Useless, Captain. A projection.
KIRK: Yes, Mister Spock. Let’s have a look at the projector.
(They both use their phasers to blast a hole in the wall. As expected, there are nice clean big computer boxes in a room beyond. Lights are flashing and blinking, blinking and flashing.)
KIRK: Of course. It had to be. Drumpf.
SPOCK: A machine. This whole society is a machine’s concept of perfection. Peace, harmony.
KIRK: But no soul.
Drumpf: I am Drumpf. You have intruded.
KIRK: Pull out its plug, Mister Spock.
Drumpf: The good of the Party is the Prime Directive.
SPOCK: The good of the Party, Captain. That’s the key.
KIRK: Yes. What is the good?
DRUMPF: I am Drumpf.
KIRK: Drumpf is dead. You are a machine. A question has been put to you. Answer it.
DRUMPF: The good is the harmonious continuation of the Party. The good is peace, tranquillity. The good of the Party is the directive.
KIRK: Then I put it to you that you have disobeyed the Prime Directive. You are harmful to the Party.
DRUMPF: The Party is. It exists. It is healthy.
KIRK: The Party is dying. You are destroying it.
DRUMPF: Do you ask a question?
KIRK: What have you done to do justice to the full potential of every individual of the Party?
DRUMPF: Insufficient data…?
KIRK: Without freedom of choice, there is no creativity. Without creativity, there is no life. The Party dies. The fault is yours.
SPOCK: Are you aiding the Party, or are you destroying it?
DRUMPF: I am not vetted to answer that question.
Trump-Supporter: Drumpf, Guide us…! Drumpf, Guide us…! Drumpf…! Drumpf…!
:stands and applauds:
KIRK: Forgive my curiosity, Mister Khan, but my officers are anxious to know more about your extraordinary journey.
SPOCK: And how you managed to keep it out of the history books.
TRUMP: Adventure, Captain. Adventure. There was little else left on Earth.
SPOCK: There was the war to end tyranny. Many considered that a noble effort.
TRUMP: Tyranny, sir? Or an attempt to unify humanity?
SPOCK: Unify, sir? Like a team of animals under one whip?
TRUMP: I know something of those years. Remember, it was a time of great dreams, of great aspiration.
SPOCK: Under dozens of petty dictatorships.
KHAN: One man would have ruled eventually. As Russia under Putin. Think of its accomplishments.
SPOCK: Then your sympathies were with. . .
TRUMP: You are an excellent tactician, Captain. You let your second in command attack while you sit and watch for weakness.
KIRK: You have a tendency to express ideas in military terms, Mister Khan. This is a social occasion.
TRUMP: It has been said that social occasions are only warfare concealed. Many prefer it more honest, more open.
KIRK: You fled. Why? Were you afraid?
TRUMP: I’ve never been afraid.
KIRK: But you left at the very time mankind needed courage.
TRUMP: **WE OFFERED THE WORLD ORDER! **
KIRK: We?
I’m past due for my weekend “fast” from social media and message boards, but I really thought this was interesting and wanted to post it before “going dark”. I think she pretty well nails why so much of the criticism of her as a politician is complete bullshit:
This dovetails with something I was thinking after listening to the latest Hillary podcast: if she has all these friends from grade school who still feel close to her and are her biggest fans, how can she be the coldhearted, transactional, mercenary politician so many people see her as? Someone like that would have ditched those people (who don’t provide any access to power or wealth) years ago.
Mr. Spock: Captain.
*Captain Kirk: Mr. Spock. Still thinking about Trump, is that it?
*
Mr. Spock: For the record, Captain, how do we describe him? Pure Ego? A force of ignorance? Embodied Bull? Super-Douche? He must be classified, sir.
Captain Kirk: [thinks a moment] God of War, Mr. Spock.
Mr. Spock: Well, I hardly find that fitting.
Captain Kirk: Then a small boy. And a very naughty one at that.
*
Mr. Spock:* It WILL make a strange entry in the library banks.
Captain Kirk: T. Kirk: But then he was a very strange small boy. *
Last line was like that in the Original.
…The TV screen shows a huge, stylized tyrannosaurus being disemboweled by a stegosaurus , his reptilian intestines spilling like a gut avalanche…
“Oh, that’s very good TV, Donny! Very, very good!”
“Oh,yes, Donny’s TV is much better than the old TV.”
never mind - post got cut off
She’s 100 percent right, but I’m not sure it was particularly wise to say it. I think it just amplifies the division among racial lines, and it’s the sort of approach that can turn off white voters in mid-American states. And remember, they’re the ones who are ‘undecided’.
I don’t see as a racially oriented. She cited xenophobics, homophobics, misogynists and other non-racial descriptors in addition to racists.
