It’s not mere coincidence that the polls tightened after her campaign started their hilariously out of touch assault against Pepe. This is clear evidence of meme magic.
who the fuck is Pepe?
Well, they sure as fuck dont want Clinton to win. A moronic naif buffoon in the White House would no doubt be better for their plans to make the USA look bad. True, he might use nukes…
Pepe is the frog face of the alt right.
ISIS does not care how the final confrontation ends, although I do think that they would like to see the use of nukes as it would radicalize more Muslims around the world.
Of course they will not get the Mahdi, apocalyptic cults are nothing but consistent on not getting what they want in their final battles. Still, they might get to see their enemies make terrible mistakes before that predictable end.
Internet nerd crap. Scroll down to “Association with the Alt-Right” to see a summary of what I was talking about.
Watching mainstream corporate news misinterpret and discuss internet memes as a serious subject has been one of the more surreal moments of this election.
It is clear that the point made by the Clinton people is that indeed Pepe had a more silly origin, but he has been adopted by the alt right.
It is a similar move to what one gang that the police reported in Arizona did, they adopted the diamond as their symbol and could pass undetected by many as they used Diamondbacks and local jewelers t-shirts. But they do know why they wore those outfits, the same kind of fake indignation coming from the Alt-right using Pepe was there when teachers and security people remarked about what students and young adults on the street were wearing. Of course people that were not aware of what was going on did think that the authorities were being silly for complaining or setting restrictions.
Right marshmallow?
I don’t know. Did it work? Did they shame non-gang members until they stopped wearing Diamondbacks jerseys?
If fascists successfully appropriate Pepe, leftists should claim their own meme. Maybe communist cats.
Well, Hillary was the keynote speaker at a Baptist convention a few weeks ago and the turnout was embarrassing there too. They added wall partitions to make the place smaller.
Corey Feldman’s band draws bigger crowds.
PCP? If the only cite you got is Blightbart, really, don’t bother. Saves wear and tear on the hamsters.
Well, let’s see. Trashman, Mr. Natural, Wavy Gravy, Phoebe Zeitgeist, Jesus of Nazareth, Eugene V. Debs…nah, we’re deep bench.
There’s no debate she addressed the Baptist convention. None of the liberal media mentions attendance. But here’s another source.
If Hillary panders in an empty convention hall, did she make a sound? Check out these pics
An improvement over Blightbart, like chicken pox is better than measles.
Nah, we already know that Clinton doesn’t really inspire slavish, cult-like devotion in her fanbase the way Trump does. That’s not exactly a bad thing. We also know (unlike you) that a university lecture hall does not seat 10,000 people.
Interesting!
I definitely don’t think rally attendance is all that useful a metric (ask President Eugene McCarthy). But I do, as I noted on a Pit thread, really urge Hillary supporters in swing states to start displaying yard signs and bumper stickers, if they haven’t already. Social proof is important in close races. I lamented on that thread that of the people I know personally who displayed such public support for Obama in previous cycles, I’m the only one who is also doing so for Hillary this year. I get it: she’s nowhere near as hip as Obama, and putting up Clinton signage may hurt your street cred with lefties. But this shit is important, so get over it.
Not to mention that she already has some experience campaigning against someone who commands massive rallies and more overt enthusiasm.
I don’t think rally size matters but that last bit is a poor rebuttal. The Clinton campaign chose that room and there are undoubtedly bigger rooms than 250 seat lecture halls at Temple University. Now maybe Clinton prefers a smaller crowd but you usually pick the venue based on the expected turnout.
But she doesn’t have experience beating such a candidate.
She beat Sanders rather soundly.
Trump’s shattering records for small donors:
There’s definitely a big enthusiasm gap.
