History buffs and Jeremy Clarkson fans alike

Jeremy Clarkson narrates two excellent BBC documentaries about WWII battles:

One is about a little known (not at all known to me) 1942 battle of St. Nazaire by British Commandos to take out a German occupied naval station.

The other about about the Victoria Cross medal and a specific British Major who was one of the recipients.

Really well worth watching and both under an hour each.

I’ve seen the one on St. Nazaire and it’s well worth the time, IMHO. Clarkson tends to be divisive in his actions, but he is really a superb narrator. IMHO again.

Yeah, Clarkson is a jackass. But I do love his work.
