This is a spinoff of the “Hit songs that disappeared” thread.
(Before anyone mentions “Stairway To Heaven”, it was never released as a single.)
My votes go to the Beach Boys’ “Kokomo” and Wilson Phillips’ “Hold On.”

Far Corporation released it as a single.
Although, thankfully, it has ‘disappeared’ in the sense that I think you mean. It is truly awful.
I could go my entire life without ever hearing “Bohemian Rhapsody” again.
Imagine.
I have probably dozens and dozens of songs I never want to hear again. Some examples are:
The Joker - Steve Miller
Jack and Diane - John Cougar Mellencamp
Another Brick in the Wall - Pink Floyd
Start Me Up - The Rolling Stones
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da - The Beatles
Thunderstruck - AC/DC
Welcome to the Jungle - Guns and Roses
Fame - David Bowie
I could be here all night coming up with more.
What? Imagine going through your entire life without ever hearing “Bohemian Rhapsody” again?
“There’s Got to be a Morning After”
Rod Stewart, Do ya think I’m Sexy? No, not so much.
Steve Miller, Jet Airliner, put it on the no-fly list
But the tip-top number one, stick-knitting-needles-through-my-eardrums demon king of all time:
Free Bird
Anything played at weddings. It used to be “We’ve Only Just Begun,” by the Carpenters, then, let’s get down and get funky, and watch Uncle Sid boogie to the strains of “Who Let the Dogs Out,” and “The Macarena”.
Thanks for listing “Kokomo”. That’s stuck in my head. I’ll have to listen to some Albert Collins or Willie Dixon now to get it out.
Expressway to Your Heart, by Soul Survivor. I hate everything about it.
Old Time Rock and Roll - Bob Seger
puke
Celebrate - Kool and the Gang.
No. Just no.
Most of Steve Miller’s hits.
Most of Rod Stewart’s work from the time he joined Faces on.
American Pie- Don Mclean
Here’s a similar thread I started a couple of months ago: http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=19268211
If I could pick just one song to banish, it might be Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.” I used to love that song, but now I hear it so often, I can’t stand it.
“Escape” (aka “The Pina Colada Song”). Truly, truly awful!
Any song where some whiny wuss tells his girlfriend that he’ll always love her no matter what she does to fuck him over, and that he’ll always be waiting there to take her back someday.
“Morning Has Broken” and “There Is Love” would be my wedding choices.
Hell, *weddings *should be banned! Marriage is EVIL!!!
Preach it.
Hotel California.
