My Heart will Go On, Celine Dion
I Will Always Love You, Whitney Houston
That crappy Christmas Shoes Atrocity
Call Me Maybe
Blurred Lines (hate that repeated screaming sound!)
Last Kiss. I don’t care who performs it.
Tubthumping, Chumbawumba
What’s Love Got To Do With it, Tina Turner.
Horrible, terrible song.
Little Drummer Boy. Hearing the first note makes me want to go postal.
Let the bodies hit the floor let the bodies hit the floor let the bodies hit the floor let the bodies hit the…
Red red wine. It sounds like a hangover.
Chantilly Lace
“Sweet Caroline” - Neil Diamond (especially when drunk people sing it, adding that “bum bum bum” bullshit.)
“Don’t Stop Believin’” - Journey (I used to like it until I heard it 10,000 times in bars, at karaoke night, etc.)
Then there are so many songs I’ve hated from the first time I heard them, I’m not going to bother trying to list any.
I’m probably going to hell for this, but I cannot stand It’s a Wonderful World. It would be difficult enough to tolerate even if it wasn’t used for every sappy TV/radio montage ever made.
Do you mean “What a Wonderful World?”
That Kelly Clarkston song.
Oh yes, that was sloppy of me. I did mean “What a Wonderful World” <blech>
Ah yes:
The bright blessed day,
The dogs say goodnight.
Star trekkin
Just a quick point - you are familiar with the Dolly Parton version of I Will Always Love You (Dolly wrote it)? A completely different feel to the song and infinitely better than the Whitney Houston attempt.
“American Pie”. Everything I hate about '70s “rock” in one song (not as bad as “Starry, Starry Night”, but that doesn’t get played nearly as much).
Gosh, there are so many. Here is one for me - “MacArthur Park.” Such stupid lyrics.
Walking on Sunshine
