Hitchiler's Guide movie casting update

I can’t believe I’m the first to post this, but from the horse’s mouth

We’d like to officially announce that John Malkovich ha(s) been cast as (a) new character Douglas created specifically for the movie.

Taking the role of Humma Kavula, a crazed missionary living amongst the Jatravartid people of Viltvodle Six (who still firmly believe that the entire Universe was, in fact, sneezed out of the nose of a being called the Great Green Arkleseizure), facial cavity ejections are, of course, nothing new to Mr. Malkovich.

I hate to be optimistic, but it almost seems like they’re going to pull this movie off.

I am very nervous about this too. Oh course I was dead set against the LOTR being made into a feature film but they turned out to be quite good. The one thing so far that looks good about the casting in this film is Zooey Deschanel as Trillian. She is in my opinion perfect for the role, in fact I can’t think of a better actress for the role. I find the rest of the cast questionable.
