So I am looking through CNN and see a news story and click on it and get this at the top:

“Read a version of this story in Arabic or Spanish
San Francisco (CNN) – Investigators looking into the fatal crash of Asiana Airlines Flight 214 are focusing on the crew and aircraft as they try to understand why the giant jet clipped the end of runway before crashing, the chairwoman of the National Transportation Safety Board said Monday.”

So, uh…why only in Arabic or Spanish? No German, French, Italian, Chinese, Korean? I mean, seriously…are there tons of Arabic speakers flocking to read the article about the plane crash on CNN?..and is this sort of like the lamest excuse to get all of them to click on the magic button or what?

Why don’t they just say, “Click here if you are a terrorist doing research.”

Every page on cnn.com gives you the option of switching between 4 different “editions” of the web site: US, International, Mexico and Arabic.

Yeah, something should be done about all those Spanish-speaking terrorists.

Actually, it is those sneaky Canadians up north we should really be watching carefully, eh?

OK, so maybe it wasn’t fishy…I guess I just have never noticed the option for ARABIC when reading CNN, although I read it almost every day, guess I wan’t reading closely.
