Hobofont ("Bums' graffiti")

I recently installed a symbol font called “Hobofont,” which is about three dozen symbols that tramps and vagrants (as Herald Froy called them, “Useful citizens” ) mark on fences and walls. They include some I know:
A reclining cat: “Kindhearted lady.”
A triangle with raised arms: “Man with gun.”
Two linked circles “Don’t give up.”
Several small triangles: “Tell pitiful story.”
A crescent moon and a cross on their side : “Dishonest man” (cf. the symbol of the Unification Church.)
And so on.
Are there any Internet sites that identify all these symbols?

Lots here: http://www.worldpath.net/~minstrel/hobosign.htm

THANKS! That’s a good site.

They don’t have the one Abe Simpson told us all meant “mass hobo grave in cellar.” :dubious:

Who is Abe Simpson?

Homer’s dad.

Oh, I see.
Well, nobody asked me who Herald Froy is.

The Hobofont includes a symbol like a plain handwritten “X” which is not identified on that site. I don’t know what it means; the fraction “2/10” came out as "“Crooks around”…
