Saints Row 2 holds the coveted position of my favorite game ever. I find three a disappointment for two, but four was good because I adjusted my expectations.
And they’ve already started work on five.
One last chance for Borderlands 2: GotY @$13.59, Skyrim Legendary Edition @$9.99, Metro Last Light Complete @$6.79. Otherwise, I’ve managed to get through most of the sale without needing any new stuff.
I’d start a new thread talking about Skyrim, since when we had the big discussion about it that was before the DLC and a lot of mods came out.
I’d be really surprised if they hadn’t. Deep Silver didn’t pick up the franchise from THQ’s collapse just to put out one new game and hang it up. SR4 started as a DLC for SRTT – I’d guess they already had much of the work done so they wrapped that one up and the next entry will be a reboot under Deep Silver’s direction.
So, my Summer Sale results:
Max Payne 3
Splinter Cell: Blacklist
DmC: Devil May Cry
Far Cry 3
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
Skyrim
Dishonored
Metro: 2033
Metro: Last Light
Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition
Spec Ops: the Line
Sniper Elite V2 DLC x3
Assassin’s Creed II
Archon Classic
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Thief + DLC bundle
I spent about $115 total. Only a couple that I bought ended up at a lower price later, so I could have saved about another $10 in there somewhere, but I can live with that. I paid less than $8 a piece for a lot of really good games. If each game is about 15 hours of gameplay and I somehow find 2 hours a day to play (and assuming I play each to the end), that’s like 4 months of gaming, not even counting the half dozen other games I bought previously and still haven’t even touched yet.
Good times.
In case anyone’s not gotten enough, the entire Red Faction series is on sale on Amazon for $5.99 (Steam game code).
So did anyone else buy Rocksmith during the summer sale, only to discover that you can’t buy the Real Tone cable that is necessary to actually use the game?
Why can’t you buy it?
That was listed as OOS as of yesterday. No local stores carry them (not Fry’s, Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Gamestop, Guitar Center or Sam Ash, at least).
I did order one thru Amazon now, but other forums show people waiting weeks thru both Amazon and Ubisoft directly.
Ah. Probably because of the Steam sale ![]()
I picked up Rocksmith (great deal) but haven’t picked up a cable yet.
I guess I’ll have to plan ahead.
I picked up Rocksmith and the cable as a birthday present for the wife.
Her computer didn’t recognize the cable until I disconnected and reconnected the breakaway.
