In 13 years, when (going by average life expectancy) it can reasonably be expected that the actual survivors of the death camps have all been shuffled loose off this mortal chain, and we are only down to their immediate descendants, we can start thinking about de-stigmatizing the Holocaust. Until that point, I s’pose it’s still on par with chink and gook jibes from the Vietnam era.
Thanks for at least acknowledging it. Believe me it was sincere, even if it somehow missed some [many/most] people’s expectations. I had no real desire to scratch any old scabs. I think I get it. I thought I did from the beginning, though. Sorry, no sackcloth and ashes smilie.
Oh, dude, no way. I am a gook from the Vietnam Era, and there’s no way I’d compare the two. Hell, the fact that I can even joke about it indicates the difference.
Fair enough, I withdraw the point, but Hitler and X Nazi does get a lot of mileage, as well. Though probably not in the relevant age group.
