Since Dope-A-Ween has passed, and it’s gonna be awhile until NYDope, I thought perhaps we could have a little shin-dig at our place. Christmas and Hanukkah and Thanksgiving, you know, holidays? Well, we sort of like to celebrate, being the sillies that we are.
We were thinking that we’d have a whack of Dopers over around the middle of December, say about December 14th? If necessary, we have flop-room for the night before and/or after. I may bring in some of my family’s traditions, and force-feed you too many pastries, if you all don’t mind.
Let us know! We’d love to have you. Dave will behave himself, I promise.
Since it’s most likely a sure bet that 'punha will be there, I might show up too. Classes for me end the 13th and taking a day off work isn’t hard so I don’t foresee any problems.
It’s true what they say about dopefests. Once you pop you can’t stop…err…Once you go dope you never go back? I’m sure it’s something like that…
I think there’s a slight chance of me showing up to any dopefest without … oh, 400 miles of DC.
Or even further, depending on who else is driving:)
Gosh … I just realized I’ve not had a free weekend since mid-September. Is it a sign of adulthood or having a life when you have gasp plans for the weekend before the weekend gets there?
Bring whatever. Last year I cooked a turkey, and everyone brought other food, drink, etc… We’ll nail it down as the event gets closer and we have a better idea of who’ll be coming.
Well, I was all ready to say we’d be there until you said that Dave would behave. Dang, what kind of fun is that??
I’ll talk to Steve and check my schedule. I’ll have a free round trip ticket to use and that’s the weekend closest to our anniversary, so it’s a possibility.
I’m not a Punha hog, I’d be happy to share him with the kiddies. They seem to like him too much for me to keep him all to myself the whole time. And considering he’s just a big kid himself I’d hate to keep him from his tribe.
Hmm, I’ve got a pink fuzzy hat he can wear. Whether or not that’s less embarrassing than wearing boxers on his head is debatable though.

I give up. Every time I think I have it all figured out, some of you people have to muddle my already murky brain even further by going and getting involved and stuff.

Gingy, if you move it up to the weekend before, I can try to come. I’d love to actually, but I’m leaving the States on the evening of the 7th (Saturday). How far are you from Philly. I’m thinking I could tell a white lie to my mom that my flight left early in the morning, and then drive down there and back in time to make my flight.
That’s of course, only if you decide December 14th is no good.
