It appears you may be implying that you believe most of the recent allegations are made up. If that’s the case, why not come out and say so? If that wasn’t your intent, you might want to clear up the misapprehension.

Ew! The stories they used to tell about that poor, sad, boy. But it’s an interesting phenomenon that we tend to assume men we view as "wimps"will never be predators. In my limited experience though, there’s nothing more dangerous than a wimp who finds himself in a position of power. That goes for female wimps as well.
I have no reason to believe that they did, but Joan Crawford or Rosanne Barr back in their hey days? I would have had no trouble believing that they had passed on the abuse they’d received.

Not a Hollywood celebrity but I just found out that Mark Halperin from MSNBC has been accused of multiple sexual harassment incidents from the mid 90’s to the mid 00’.
Did not see that coming.
I agree, but not because Spielberg is some paragon of virtue. (He may well be; I don’t know.) He has kept such a high profile for so long that I would have expected anything that was going to come out about him to have come out by now.
Not Hollywood, but I would be very surprised to hear of any major sexual harassment scandals involving George W Bush or Barack Obama, largely for the same reason: they both have so many virulent enemies that anything that could have come out about them would have by now.
I really hope I am not wrong.

Reports are that the NY Times will drop a story, possibly today, alleging sexual misconduct by Louis C.K. He abruptly cancelled the premier of his movie and cancelled tonight’s scheduled appearance on The Late Show
And here it is. Pretty consistent pattern, which makes it seem pretty likely. Depressing, really. I was a fan.
