Dick Miller. Well, on second thought, he’s done everything else.
Betty White
Jim Caviezel.
Given that he checked out nine years ago, it seems unlikely that he will become embroiled in scandal any time soon. And it most likely would not ruin his career. His spaghetti sauce, salad dressing and other products might suffer, but the man himself would largely be unaffected.
Well, yes, in that sense he is quite well insulated from suffering any personal fallout from any such stories that might come to light. But we don’t always here about these things when they happen (some of the Weinstein accusations go back years), and we don’t stop hearing about people once they die.
Steve Buscemi
Jon Stewart
If something came out about Tina Fey, I’d be shocked. Something where she was the aggressor. Not like a situation where she was the victim, like the cause of her scar.
It wouldn’t surprise me if anyone anywhere got accused of it. Cause that’s where we are now.
Waiting patiently for the backlash.
Sexual harassment would be unlikely, I admit, but I’d find myself utterly unshocked if I heard about some murders she arranged back in the seventies.
I’d be unshocked over anything I heard about Audrey Hepburn-- still waters and all. Seriously, she survived the Dutch hongerwinter, and apparently smuggled information for the Allies in her dance shoes; also, once she was nominated to go into the woods and locate a downed American pilot, and give him directions to safety, encountering Germans when she did, and convincing them she was just a girl out picking wildflowers. She was nominated to do this because she spoke English, but she got away with her story because she was a teenager-- like 15. So, this makes her in strict point of fact, a juvenile intelligence agent.
Now, I doubt she molested anyone, mostly because she’s a woman, but she had an affair with Albert Finney when she was still married to one of her husbands, and he was married as well.
If I heard that she participated in cannibalism to stay alive (people did eat people who had already died), or that she killed a German soldier who was threatening to arrest or kill her, I wouldn’t be all that shocked.
No backlash here. Just agreement.
Yes - but it seems highly improbable that, over a considerable span of years, the stories would have circulated exclusively among men.
And it looks rather convenient for Meryl Streep to be claiming she knew nothing. She was among the few with enough status and reputation that if they spoke out Weinstein could probably not have cowed them into silence.
Boris Karloff was married SIX TIMES! - serial monagamist!
Regarding old school Hollywood actors, anyway - Shelley Winters wrote two wonderful autobiographies on her life back then, (as did David Niven (going back even further).). Shelley Winters, I remember, was on the Tonight Show after one of her books came out and she said everyone - EVERYONE - in Hollywood was screwing around, constantly, married, unmarried, affairs and wife swapping and threesomes and whatnot - she said 'we had such fun back then, before all these diseases (meaning AIDS) came along. We’d just go to the doctors for a shot or pills to cure the clap or whatever.
At one time, I would’ve said Bill Cosby.
I’m not sure if it was clear, but the backlash I was referring to was to the bandwagon. Making an accusation imparts no further obligation, in fact, it’s already gotten reduced to “#metoo.”
Some accuser will pick the wrong target soon and then we will enter Phase II.
Yep, I found that shocking. Weinstein, not so much.
After cheating on his first wife with whom he had had three kids.
As clear as your username.
That’s kind of different than what the OP is asking for. I’m not necessarily condoning it but at least it was consensual. I think this thread is mainly about conduct that’s truly ugly, reprehensible, and (mostly) felonious like predatory sexual behavior, assault, and rape.
Also, aside from obvious jokes, it makes little sense to mention any women here at all. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen but the type of offenses discussed here are almost exclusively committed by males.
