Best advice my doc ever gave was to make sure the night-time feedings are no-nonsense. No singing or music, no playing, no fun, minimal lights. Wake up, change diaper, slap him on the boob or bottle, put him back down. Dark and quiet and as short as possible.
We followed this advice, and Josie has been sleeping through the night since she was six weeks old.
