Monty Python and the Holy Grail is in limited release this summer, with (I think) new footage and a new stereo soundtrack.
You can find dates/places of showings here.
“What’s new” type of info can be found here.

MP&HG opens in DC on Friday, September 14. Who’s up for a Doper get-together?
It’ll be playing at:
Visions Cinema
1927 Florida Avenue NW
Washington, DC
showtimes: 202/232-5689
Yes. Yes. A thousand times yes.
If there is no other time to be glad I do not have Friday classes . . .
God loves me:)
Grrr! Phoenix is the 7th largest metro area in the US and it’s not being released there.
It’s incredibly worth it, even just for the opening titles. I was too young to see it when it first came out, and I count myself lucky I got to see it this time around.
The extra few seconds are excellent. Provides some much-needed continuity.
Damnit, the closest place to me that shows it is Sarasota. How am I going to convince anyone to drive that far for this? Wait a minute… ::twirls imaginary mustache and grins:: I’ve got too many Python fan friends to miss this one.
<sniff> The nearest one to me is Dallas, and even as much a fan of MPATHG as I am, I cannot quite see driving 250 miles to see it. I sincerely hope a new DVD version is forthcoming (I already bought it on VHS, twice!, and DVD). If only I had more friends in OKC willing to road trip for this one…
Thank God i’s not showing anywhere in Georgia that I could see. After all, I’ve never seen it in the theater-whyever would I want to? grumble
It’s showing in Waterville, Maine-the dinky little town I went to college in, but I didn’t see a showing anywhere in Georgia. sigh
Damn! I missed it!
I went to see it this weekend. I’ll admit, I wasn’t a fan. Probably because the other times I’ve seen it I was forced under threat of acute torture and many bad things (ahem Jester…)
BUT, when I saw it this time, on the big screen… I must admit, I loved it. And there IS new footage and it’s so much fun to go! Everyone was quoting and laughing and we saw it in a really old theater. The kind with curtains around the screen that sell GLASS bottle drinks and hot tea for REALLY low prices. I was practically in heaven. It’s good.
