Good catch - I hadn’t even clued in on that. Like Spoons has said, this is not the location to live in if you want a quiet night’s sleep with your windows open in summer.
We have family friends that moved to Innisfail just before the boom really took off - for about that same amount they got an acreage. Not perfect, a bit of a fixer-upper, but they love that sort of thing. Apparently the property value doubled in a year or so.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens when when their youngest kid graduates high school and goes to university next year and the husband retires from his job soon after. The island in BC is where their hearts really are, and I think they were worried about finding a place to live. As long as they sell this place during the boom I think they’ll do just fine.
