Some of them seem to be fighting with eight foot long sticks.
One of the ones inside has his sword sheathed as he fights with it.
My favourite is the one on the stairs who swings with its sword and completely drops it.
Apparently, while there is a religious requirement to carry weapons, you don’t have to actually be any good at using them.
The long sticks are probably lathis, the Indian equivalent of the quarterstaff and (as seen later in the clip) the traditional police crowd control batons.
I hope someone can check in and tell us what they were fighting about. How come that one guy wasn’t allowed to speak?
