My page is a gallery of my paintings I was inspired to create by people and experiences I have had in my year online. I had dedications for each painting but I found it much easier to maintain the site with just a the painting’s title. Those ppl who I created the paintings for, know who they are. I would call it a hobby but since art is my chosen profession it is not really that, nor is it professional as the paintings were created solely for personal reasons. Not sure what category it would fit into… Your call. http://www.concentric.net/~marvam

Well, my main homepage is a gratuitous page about myself and my interests. My other pages are about my conlanging hobby and are full of linguistic stuff, as well as some of my constructed cultures (one an attempt to show what pre-spanish Philippines was kinda sorta like (I took some liberties). The other is a page culture I made up for my own edification.
There isn’t any interesting pictures or back grounds, and it’s not too exciting. More like a repository of what i have done available on the web. I do want to scan in the art work I am doing for my art class and put it up on my main site (a tree I painted in ink wowed my professor and class, and I want it up there).
I’m not sure why my hobby pages go under though (Linguages and culture?)
Doobieous, that’s why I made the ‘academia’ cat. I have a Watership Down page which is constantly drawing comments from teachers saying that they’ve used it in making lesson plans for the novel in their English/Lit. classes, and my page on angels has been called one of the best sources of actual “factual” information about angels on the web (as opposed to poems, Victorian artworks and the like). I’m not patting myself on the back by saying this, but just pointing out that they’ve set themselves above being just a “hobby”, but I don’t have degress or anything to back up why my pages should be better than anyone elses.
“I guess it is possible for one person to make a difference, although most of the time they probably shouldn’t.”
Mine’s a personal use page. Family is scattered from coast to coast, north to south, Between my kids, his kids, our siblings & cousins, the idea is to make it a family place. I’m into genealogy so another goal will be to make it findable by anyone doing research on the same family lines. It needs some updating. Frustrating how work always manages to get in the way of my hobbies.
If any of you visit, I’d appreciate your suggestions for improvement. www.thefoxworthys.com
