My trusty Canon MP540 has just gone pop. Error code is B200 which indicates that the print heads have overheated and may need replacing. The cost of replacing them is quite steep, so it may be better to buy new.
It’s got to have a flat-bed scanner, and a proper paper tray. I’m not particularly interested in an ADF.
The latest comparative review I’ve seen are this and this one which is rather old.
