The scanner on my faithful Officejet G55 has failed. It’s time for a replacement, but I cannot afford much.
My prime requirements are printing letters and photos, copying documents, and scanning. I need a flatbed scanner.
I’m looking for one that’s cheap to purchase (less than £100) and cheap to run. A device that eats ink cartridges is no good. HP C4400 and F4200, I’m looking at you.
Of course, it seems to be just the bulb that’s failed, so if someone were to know the details of said bulb, it would be a lot cheaper (hopefully) to buy a replacement.
Anybody have experience with the new Kodak line of printers? They seem reasonable, and are supposed to use a lot less ink. I am thinking of buying one myself.
I bought a Canon PIXMA MX860 for my office a couple of weeks back. It is wonderful. Scans, copies in both B&W and color and prints both full sheets and photos without changing paper loads.
It works via USB, wired or wireless network.
I loves it.
