Yes, as a consultant - plus, there have been tons of films and books about “crazy people” continuing their obsessions and working on a case long after everyone else has given up. At some point, she might become the only person who has the pieces of the puzzles and they might let her back in on a special one-time basis for this case.
The US government denied that an attack took place at all and accused the Iraqis (or Afghanis? Where did the attack that killed Issa happen?) of lying about the incident.
Carrie could fill the same role for Saul as her van-driving friend fills (filled?) for Carrie. No longer part of the CIA but definitely involved.
We just finished watching the final ep of season one: damn, but that was a tense hour or so! A good series and deserving of some Emmy attention. We’ve been trying to figure out who the mole is: it can’t be the VP or the DCI for various plot reasons, although Saul was a strong contender for awhile there, and I’m not convinced that he’s not passing information of some sort.
This thread is only nine months old, so I hope this doesn’t count as an attempt at zombie resurrection. Since I watched the whole first season yesterday in one sitting, I wanted to discuss some stuff. Anyone else watch the marathon?
I am wondering if Saul is the mole. I also noticed the thing when Carrie flipped the corner of his carpet.
Do not see how Carrie can possibly get her job back.
The entire first season sustained such a level of tension, surprise, and interest that I don’t see how this can continue at such a high level, but I have high hopes.
What about the Muslim guy in the office that David asked to spy on Carrie to see if she had anything going on the side. It seems like that plot line was dropped.
What’s going to happen to the pre-suicide video that Brody hid behind the rock in the park? Will someone bring that out during his campaign. (Much more damaging than a drunk driving arrest photo, eh?)
What will Carrie be like after ECT? Less hysterical, one hopes.
I also just watched all of Season One. My questions (PLEASE NO SEASON TWO SPOILERS):
-
The opening shows Reagan, Clinton and Obama…where are the Bushes? Perhaps they declined assuming they had to be asked??
-
Lots of nudity in the first four eps or so then it really slacked off…did they try to hook a certain element?
-
Carrie’s promiscuity was played up in the pilot and then stopped. My wife tells me I am supposed to understand that she became obsessed and fell in love with Brody while she was surveiling him. I wonder if the pilot was finished first and the suits asked them not to go that route.
-
I like Carrie’s technical helper character alot. I thought maybe his slightly off brother might have a continuing role but he seems to have gone away.
-
There’s still a mole out there right?
-
Saul was David’s boss and then it reversed. Did Saul fall out of favor when Carrie had her issue in Afghanistan or might there be other issues in Sauls’ background?
-
When did Carrie learn that “Issa” was the name Nazir’s son? Saul mentioned a name in the hospital but it wasn’t Issa.
-
Any body catch the song that Brody’s daughter was listening too as the attack was about to come off?
-
After Nazir cleans Brody up he gets all dirty and scruffy again…I wonder how long that would take?
-
Is the Administration supposed to be D or R? At a party early on the head of the DNC walked by. The woman who got shot was portrayed as a rich, southern R. Dick Johnson was as close to Anthony Weiner as you could get but they never said what party affiliation he was. Nor is it clear that Brody would necessarily run as a member of that party.
Again, NO SEASON TWO SPOILERS PLEASE. (Assuming this attracts interest from anyone other than Thelma).
