Had lunch in a pretty good italian restaurant that has a tasty fresh bread tray. They make these really good breadsticks that are thin, crunchy, about 2 feet long and sprinkled with sesames. How do you bake this kind?
I like the doughy puffy kind too that are maybe an inch in diameter and 8 inches long. Suggestions on those kind as well.
btw, I’ve tried looking up some recipes but can’t find the former type…
For an easy and passable version, You might try the frozen bread dough available in most supermarkets. Let it thaw and tear off largish balls of dough and roll them into thin snakes/breadsticks. Paint them with an eggwash and sprinkle them with sesame seeds. Bake them in a really high oven for about 20 min. You could also do this with strips of pre-made, frozen puff pastry (Bake according to instructions.).
