Homeopathy "clinic" next to new job.

The turd part would be where you came and implied that both everyone in the thread and Wikipedia didn’t understand what REAL homeopathy was, followed by refusing to commit yourself to explaining exactly what was wrong with our (and their) understanding, thus implying that you had access to some sort of knowledge the rest of us weren’t privy to.

As to the size and stench of the turd, I simply point to the number of responses your behavior has prompted, as hardly anyone has been able to skim past the turd without stopping and discussing what a large, stinky turd it is.

That’s my WAG too; I didn’t realize my confusion until a couple years ago, as I don’t dabble in either. Common mistake.

I once had a three-hour long, very heated argument with a friend about homeopathy, that ended when I realised he thought “homeopathic” meant “holistic”. Once this was established, I agreed with his argument (minus the woo parts): a medical practitioner who considers the whole person and their history and other conditions, rather than just the specific symptom presenting, is on the whole a Good Thing.

Plus it seems like a lot of sellers of good-for-nothing herbal “meds” who don’t want the FDA on their case will slap “homeopathic” on the box even though there are higher-than-homeopathic levels of ingredients in them. So it’s pretty easy to get confused because of what the snake oil purveyors are doing.

That cold remedy made by a teacher (Airborne, I think) did that. And so did a headache remedy similar to HeadOn (not HeadOn itself, as I mistakenly thought before), as it contains menthol, which can help with muscle aches.

I looked at the article, and that is one of the best and most through Wikipedia articles I’ve ever seen. It states the claims the homeopathy make, with references from their own sites. And it also presents the scientific evidence.
