Homosexual "rights"?!

You are, as my friends so aptly put it, a waste of carbon."

Please don’t take the Lord’s name in vain; you’ve sinned enough against him.

I’m a waste of carbon? Hey, at least I know about where my penis is suppose to go, you waste of dick.

Does anyone else hear that faint, annoying buzzing sound?

Does anyone else find it interesting that we haven’t heard from Marvinboomerdiamondorion or Rousseau in quite some time? Hmmm…

(Not implying any coincidences, of course…)

Sorry Esprix, I’m my own man. Don’t you wish you could say the same? :stuck_out_tongue:

No.

Huh. You’re right. It’s gone now.

David B,

I see you closed the “Homosexuality, a Crime” thread, but what about this?

Are “fag” jokes appropriate in Great Debates or do they belong in the Pit?

Jeff

People who are opposed to homosexual are not bigots. They are idiots. They foolishly cling to the belief that there is something sacred about marriage. (witness the passage of prop 22 here in california, where cal will not recognize legal gay marriages performed in other states.)
If I hear anything else about the ‘sanctity’ of marriage, I’m going to puke. The Fox network auctioned of bride on national tv who had the audacity to later complain she did not know who she was marrying. Even through tradtional courting, the failure rate of marriage is over 50%. ELIZIBETH TAYLOR HAS BEEN MARRIED 8 TIMES FOR CHRIST’S SAKE.

Lets be real. Gays cannot make any more of a sham of marriage than the straights have.

What Spooje said.

There are already petitions being circulated to get a proposition on the ballot okaying gay marriage in November (in CA). If I see one, I’ll be pleased to sign it.

Pashley, where are you from? You don’t really seem to have a very clear idea of California’s layout, so I wanted to clarify this for you. San Francisco is actually quite a small city (700,000 people - San Jose has over a million) and the entire Bay Area has 6 million people. While this makes it one of the largest metropolitan areas in the nation, it doesn’t even compare with the 13 million people in the greater LA area, and the several million more in the San Diego area. Bay Areans are very liberal and proud to be so, but SoCal is much more conservative, and there a LOT more of them.

Fun stat I read today (sorry no link, read it in the SF Chron): 36% of Bay Area residents have a BA. 18% of LA residents have a BA. Does greater education create liberalism? That’s a topic for another GD, I suppose.

Proud to…
…be a San Franciscan
…be a liberal
…have voted NO on Proposition 22

As somebody already noted, I closed down Orion’s homosexuality thread because people couldn’t get along. I will give exactly one warning here. I’ve seen people called idiots, assholes, etc., and it is to stop RIGHT NOW.

I trust I’ve made myself perfectly clear.

I live in Morgan Hill, about 20 miles south of downtown San Jose. There were a LOT of “Yes on 22” signs up on people’s lawns just before the election.

I’d also hazard a guess that most Silicon Valleyites are more libertarian than liberal.

Ask the Gay Guy!

You are so wrong

It’s not foolish. If most of those didn’t think it was something sacret about it, then I doubt if many would marry.
You are just jealous because you are “abnormal”. Get your self a girl and marry like the other.

And how many would puke if they saw two men marry each other ?

I believe that many people are a bit confused. Walues are becoming very relative these days. And once again I think we could place part of the blame on the homosexuals. They seems to use every situasion in society to reach their goals. They confuses the masses just to justify their own lifestyle.

Hollywood is a complete different story.

Yes, because it’s full of homosexuals.

Thanks

My question is: are they asking for rights or priviledges?
Some people have said that homosexuality is a sin. Well, so apparently is lying, adultery, and witchcraft.
Yet liars, witches, and adulterers are allowed to marry, vote, drink, etc.
Isn’t marriage a right?
Its not like homosexuals are asking to be allowed to drink and drive or smoke in non-smoking areas.
Just the right to marry.
I CANNOT see how it harms ME.?
