That may be, but sooner or later we all have to grow up and move on with our lives. Sooner or later, you have to start doing things that are right because you believe them to be right. If GWB wanted to outwar daddy, for starters he should have shown up for the war, like daddy did. He (daddy) was a flier in combat during World War 2. GWB went to the “killer skies” of Texas and Alabama (?). Daddy’s war was to halt an invasion of Saudi Arabia by a madman, and he had the backing of the country and the rest of the world, and didn’t have to “play” with the facts to do it. Daddy did it the right way. Similarly, Rove needs to get over it. So he was adopted. So what. I was adopted. I don’t go around with my heart bleeding, or carrying a cross over it. I didn’t go on and build my life around backstabbing, spitework, and general assholery.

Is it, as it was in 2004, someone who promises to raise my taxes, institute nationalized health care, doesn’t have a coherent plan to deal with the war on terror, and feels the best way to deal with Social Security is to plug his fingers in his ears and shout “Nyah, nyah, there’s no problem”?

I’m screwed either way, so I’ll go with the one who hurts my party more than he does my country- Bush.

I believe that universal, government sanctioned health care will cost me more money while giving me even less service. And I believe that the poor will be even more screwed.
