Hooah! He's Home!

Does this mean those yellow ribbon car magnets are working? Huh!

Congratulations on your happy news, Ruby!

Give him a kiss and a big hug for all of us when you see him?

That rocks!

We’ll all be there celebrating with you in spirit when you are reunited. Congratulations!

I remember when some local soldiers came home after Desert Storm. TV was covering it and a foolish female reporter stuck her microphone out at one couple who had gone into a really tight clinch. “So, do you have any plans for the evening?” she chirped.

And, when I came back to the United States after 13 months in Korea, I didn’t want to drive the 70 miles home from the airport. “Let’s get a motel room” I told the (now ex)husband.

So**, Ruby**, whatcha gonna be doin’, going out to dinner or what?
In all seriousness, I’m glad Mr. Ruby is coming home safe. You can be very proud of him, and I know we here at the SDMB are greatful for his service.

Best news I’ve heard all day.
congrats, and please tell him job well done.

Joy of joys! I’ve finally got him home, showered, and now he’s sleeping like a man who’s been up for the last 26 hours~!

You’ve never seen such community support as ours today. There were hundreds of people lining the parade route waving yellow ribbons and American flags. We had a brief ceremony at the Coliseum with hundreds of friends and family. The state and local officials made brief proclomations and and then they were released to their families.

Yeaaaaaaaaaa!

It’ll really be a Ruby Tuesday!

Congratulations.

Welcome home, brother. And thank you, too, for your service, Ruby. I’m currently active duty, but was a dependent wife for 16 years, so I know what it’s like on both sides.
