Hooray for Breakfast!

I’m overweight and I eat breakfast every day. And I don’t always eat donuts either. Just sometimes.

Hooray for Breakfast!!

The one meal I can assume that the local Denny’s/Perkins can get right, any time of the day. I’ll take scrambled eggs and hash browns please. Ohh, and a lemon poppyseed muffin.

I miss breakfast. I work until 3 a.m. go to bed around 5 a.m. and sleep until noon. About 30 mins. after I wake up, my wife is home for lunch.

So my “breakfast” usually consists of sandwiches or mac & cheese.

When I do have to get up early, I am giddly about Sausage McMuffins with egg at McDonalds.

I’m sorry, but I just can’t eat breakfast. If I eat within three hours of awakening, my stomach becomes indignant at having to work so early and revolts violently. This causes distress to both me and the unfortunate people around me. So it’s a late lunch and supper only.

But eggs, sausage, and pancakes are good…for supper.

Saturday, pancakes with maple syrup. Music and conversation.
Sunday, scrambled eggs and toast. Music and conversation.
Weekdays, cereal. Something to read.
Coffee aplenty always.

Simple enough, but I don’t know how I’d do without.
