Ok - I tried to post this earlier, and it didn’t work.
I think the thread title says it all! The Cook-Off is Saturday, September 20 at Military Park, 1:00 - 5:00 PM. Admission is $5 (for that price, you can also visit the Eiteljorg Museum that day).
If you haven’t been before, I’ll explain. All sorts of people and organizations are there with their double-secret recipe chili, and the attendees walk around, tasting as many as they wish (they only give you a little bit of each to taste), and voting with the tickets received upon entry. If you just loooove one particular batch, you can drop all of your votes in one box, or apportion them out as you see fit. You can also buy cokes and ice cream and stuff.
When hubby and I went, some businesses had booths set up selling their wares - but not offering entries.
