Hoover Floor Mate

Okay, who all has asked Santa for the Hoover Floor Mate hard floor cleaner?

My mom has been giving some pretty strong hints (as in, “I’d really like that Floor Mate thingy for Christmas.”). Supposedly, it will shoot out some cleaning mixture, scrub your tile, linoleum, or hard wood floors, then squeegee/suck all the grunge back up leaving a beautifully clean floor behind. It also has a regular vacuum feature, but the online reviews said that the vacuum feature is one of it’s weak points becasue it’s lacking in power.

My mom has a very large tile kitchen, two tile baths, and is thinking of getting hard wood (or something like it) put down in her living room. She has Rheumatoind Arthritis, so I’m thinking if this thing cleans decently it would be worth the large sum of money ($180  ) I’d have to shell out to get it for her.

Has anyone here used one? If so, what is your opinion on ease of use and effectiveness?

I am using the Bissell Steam Mop, it uses just water and it is almost like steam ironing your floor. I use it on my new pergo laminate floorevery coouple of days. It is quik easy and no fuss. It removes grime and grease with water only. it is hot hot water so you dont need chemicals. And it dries very fast.

It is not a vacuum cleaner or a deep cleaner for carpets. it is for bare floors only.

I highly recommend all of Bissell’s products, vacuums, deep cleaners, hand vacs and old fashioned sweepers.

Alas I have no input on Hoover’s

Oh and there is no dirty water bucket to empty. Just remove the cotton cloth that wiped the floor and wash it to reuse.
