Hoover Hard Floor Cleaner -- Does This Thing Work?

OK, not exactly a question about the meaning of life, but . . .

Has anyone used one of these things? They cost about $150. They are marketed like they are the greatest thing since sliced bread but perhaps it is the next New Coke.

I’d like some input on this as well. We just put one on our list of registered items at Target for out wedding. It better be as easy to use a Swifter and nowhere near as time consuming to use as carpet cleaner or it will be sitting next to one in the back of the closet.
