A few nights ago, I heard one of the characters on Law & Order say, “Hope comes in small packages.” Any idea where that phrase comes from?
The familiar expression is, “Good things come in small packages.” What was the context of your quotation?
Cops were going through the contents of a dead junkie’s apartment, and I thought they found some clue that she was trying to go straight. I was turned away from the screen, though, so it’s hard to say.
