Hope Hicks is one of Trump’s closest advisers and has tested positive for Covid-19. She travels with him constantly. He should self-quarantine. We will see.

As I asked in a Pit thread, does this mean Trump could have exposed Joe Biden to it during the debate? I hope Biden starts testing forthwith.
IANAD but it certainly seems possible. Trump spews “very strongly.”
That scares me a lot.
This may also be the catalyst that either forces real change to the debates (i.e. Zoom with a mute button), or lets Biden skip the next two without looking like he’s afraid to debate Trump.

In my more optimistic moments, I think that maybe Trump being hospitalized for COVID-19 would be a “come to Jesus” moment and he might pull a Scrooge on Christmas morning and become a better person. Then I wake up and realize that he would just find a way to blame it on the “Democrat Party” or Antifa or the Deep State.

While I don’t want anybody to get sick, I just had a horrible vision of Trump being totally asymptomatic and telling everybody “You see, I told you it was a hoax”.
When I went to bed the news was all about the tapes of Melania not giving a fuck about kids and CHRISTMAS.
Nobody is talking about those tapes anymore.
As if this election needed even more drama.
Yes, this could be disastrous. And if he does get ill, it could give him sympathy votes. Neither scenario is good.
