I just saw on another website that Gatlinburg, TN and Dollywood are being evacuated and several dozen buildings in the Gatlinburg area are on fire. The air quality is also very bad and that alone would justify getting out of there.
So, why isn’t this being covered on any of the news channels? We already KNOW Trump’s an idiot.
I’ve wondered the same thing. My son-in-law is down there fighting the fire. He’s been gone from home here in California for almost a month already.
I watch a lot of news and I haven’t seen one story on it.
That part of the country sometimes seems to just get overlooked. There was a storm several years ago that blacked out Memphis for two solid weeks, and it got no notice in the national press. I think one of the big papers later even wrote about how it got no attention.
It seems to have broken out into the national news now.

It is. I’ve seen it on the ABC and CBS overnight news programs. There was video taken inside a hotel showing the fire outside where the guests were told it was a bigger danger to evacuate than to stay put.
Damn. I saw this list…we’ve eaten at the Alamo twice.
It finally hit the MSM today.
If it was in the middle of nowhere, it would be another thing, but it’s a populated area, and a very touristy area on top of it!
