Six thousand in recorded history, but I’m not sure whether to count from year 1 or Abraham.
Considering this is the year 5774, Abraham.
See, Jim, Jewish folks like to eat at Chinese restaurants because they are open on Christian holidays, and rarely have dairy in the food.
I got some Hanky-Panky at the sto’ today.
I didn’t know where you would count from, so it was like 50/50 whether you would say, “Oh yeah, Mr. Smart Guy?” when I said three or not.
I guessed wrong, already.
Of these things, I am aware :).
Cute One great sign.

I am always glad to help the…uninformed.
Chinese food is always a good choice. Now I want Chinese takeout. However, consumage of BLTs and fries has occured so not gonna happen tonight. Mayhaps tomorrow.
The General can rest easy tonight. We shall not swipe his dindin.
Had a very busy day yesterday. I wa up very early to watch a live broadcast of a local radio show that I usually listen to in the mornings. I met the host during a break in the show. I told him my first name, and he guessed my last name, and said he knew me from Twitter. I don’t think anyone’s ever said that to me before.
At lunchtime, some coworkers and I walked all the way to the top of the Oratory (a local church, which is HUGE and has many, many steps!) It was tiring, but good exercise.
Then, later that night, I went to a wonderful improv show!
Today was a day off, but I still have so much to do.
We decided that the good folks at the Texas Roadhouse would feed us tonight. I had ribeye and shrimp, salad, and baked sweet N.O.T. and I am officially stuffded!!! I’m also out of work clothes and clad in a comfy, if frumpy, sweatsuit. Perfect for knitting and chilling. Which is convenient, since that’s the plan for tonight.

I’ve been having problems with bags of cans somehow being removed from my enclosed patio (which would be harder on mine than on most in this complex, due to the chicken wire cat-proofing). It’s been reported to management, we’re debating additional measures that would allow us to put that outside again. So far, the best bet we’ve come up with is to rig the bag to dump its contents when lifted, but I don’t want to deal with cleaning that up.
Ok, a discussion of Genuflecting on the church’s facebook page has turned into choosing a secret word, Genuflecting everytime YP says the word in his sermon, with a duck droppin’ down from the ceilin’ durin’ the Bishop’s visitation in November. Sounds like a plan to me!
We Jews apparently have been doing it for an average of four thousand years.
Interesting pairing of fortunes:
