(Hopefully) Written in a Way to Prevent That Which I Rant Against

Often, in this particular forum, members rant about practices on this message board that annoy or anger them.

Other members, perhaps considering themselves witty, cleverly reply using the very practices that are being pitted.

In one similar thread, a poster went so far as to use the pitted practices in the pitting itself. That was pretty funny.

Most of the time, though, these posts can be seen as not-so-funny or even fairly annoying. I hope that people will take this into consideration when composing replies to Pit threads.

(Note: When I conceived this terribly poor rant, I realized that I was just begging for people to do the same to this thread, so I tried to write it without taking a particular stance. My reasoning was that if the rant wasn’t against anything, then people won’t have any ammo to use against me. I think I failed. When I look at the big picture, though, it seems like it would be very hard to practice the aforementioned minor annoyance in this thread. I try to figure it out and my brain returns a recursion error. Good luck.)

Yeah, I agree.

Nobody should ever try to have any kind of fun, ever. Maybe people should be allowed to have fun at amusement parks, but that’s pushing it. And ranting about ranting styles is stupid and pointless, and the prosletyzing religious folks are never going to get along with the dissmissive atheists, and why did that one guy get banned while his wife didn’t?

I’m sorry, what in hell was your point, again?

Oh boy. “Release the hounds!!”

My point was that some people on this board annoy me a little bit.

My intention was to have a little bit of fun myself by writing a “poor rant” about a “minor annoyance.” I did have fun; I succeeded in that respect.

I have never been good, though, at conveying my tone or my intentions in what I write. If it makes you feel better, just pretend I was ranting against myself for that shortcoming and move on.

A rant about nothing. Sorta like the Pit’s version of Seinfeld.

Didn’t really care for Seinfeld.

But Kramer though…
