I too spend more time on rotten than I probably should. Another of that type is unseennews.com, which has news stories with gory pictures (lately they’ve had lots of pics of Taliban soldiers). They link to yet another site called ogrish.com, but I haven’t been brave enough to check it out yet–it’s supposed to be worse than rotten.com. Can anybody confirm or deny this?
Thanks reprise, for the instructions on posting links.
I did, however, include a warning in my post about the disturbing video I mentioned.
Went to UnseenNews, fairly interesting. Not biased from what I saw, but the commenters are. Didn’t see a link to Ogrish from there, but went there on my own. Fairly gross. Went to the suicide, accident, and massacre sections. They have lots of old pics, like suicides from the Great Depression and what appears to be pictures from the Katyn Forest Massacre, WWII. Some of their pics are taken from Rotten, too. As for being grosser than Rotten, I dunno. They have more pictures though, that’s for sure.
Well, this is pretty tame compared to the Rottens and Stile Projects, but here goes anyway:
An especially gruesome site is “ogrish” “dot” “com”.
You have been warned…
yuck yuck yuck yuck!
How do you guys LOOK at that stuff?
Ugh.
When I was in 12th grade Biology, the class before mine had a textbook with truly horrifying pictures. “Man’s head after catching in meat grinder.” My friend Bobbi Jo brought into lunch one day this book with pictures of really old (but still meaty) corpses.
I will never understand the attraction.
Ew!
Well it might be at the opposite end of the scale to all the rotten-type sites, but I have been killing myself laughing (along with colleagues at work) over the movie reviews in http://www.christiananswers.net.
What makes it really terrible is that this is obviously a serious site with an important function for fundamentalists. But to anyone else, it’s hilarious. I highly recommend the review of “Michael”.
What about Bin Laden gross-out/parody sites?
There must be loads of Flash/Java’s out there buy now.
Only one I know of is on http://www.somedodgywebsite.com (I’m told it will be ‘improved’ soon)… There must be better than this and compared to some of the links above - this is the tamest link here, that’s actually quite worrying.
Omigod that is really funny. I love this at the end:

Is “prayerfully” even a word? WTF do they mean???
Rotten.com, Fleshpage, Ogrish etc certainly do contain a lot of shocking stuff for people who aren’t accustomed to seeing the insides of the human body. However, if the websites listed here constitute a fairly comprehensive list of what is available on the internet you’d have to say that the world of “extreme” is relatively limited. You know the world is full of dog baiting competitions, wiccan barbecues, neo-nazi club nights, orgy fests, sick and cruel mental asylums etc etc etc and yet the extreme sites are more or less concerned with “after the event” medical photographs. I mean, on certain days of the year Wiccans do the skyclad thing but never seem to turn up on Rotten and as far as I know it was only Gerraldo Riverra who was ever interested in sneaking a camera into a bad mental asylum. Also, the world is full of young and fearless backpackers but the only pictures of middle eastern barbarity on the net are pitifully out-of-focus and blurry. So many video cams so much apathy. And where are the pictures of that horrible Nigerian flogging of the pregnant girl that, according to news agencies, was due to take place earlier this year? Were they bad for the Moslem image or something?
I don’t know if this qualifies for a horribly fascinating site, but it’s one of my favourites, and I tell people about it whenever I can.

prayerful, adj.
1 (of a person) given to praying; devout.
2 (of speech, actions, etc.) characterized by or expressive of prayer.
prayerfully adv.
prayerfulness n.
So if you like their material you pray about what to give, then send it.
I’d like to apologise for including Wiccans in the list included in my last post in this thread. I know there are some Wiccan contributors to this board and, believe it or not, I am not predisposed to offend people. In a choice between knitting or gardening and joining a coven in my retirement years I would choose witchcraft but not necessarily nude withcraft.
that Michael review is a hoot! I love the part where they quote the film…
In one scene Huey questions how Michael’s wings are attached. Michael responds, “Why don’t you pull on your pecker and see how it’s attached.”
I’m picturing some very devout bible thumper coming across the review and reading that part…would they have to go to confession if they laughed???
I won’t give the link–only because I’m not sure about all the content–but the one I look at a lot just for weird entertainment is King Velveeda’s Cheesy Graphics.
It’s not too horrible, but it has a lot of bizarre links.
For the movie reviews.
I confess shock, how come no one has put up http://www.fark.com
or
http://www.consumptionjunction.com
Granted they might be a little juvenile…

Mothman Prophicies is going to be a movie within the next year with Richard Gere and Debra Messing.
What’s supposed to be so weird about the Stile website? The times I’ve been there, it’s just tons of pop-up porn ads. This is recently, so maybe it’s changed. But what’s the big deal?
I’ve also been to Rotten, then tell myself I will NEVER go there again, then I go back a couple months later.
A site that is more funny than horrible is http://www.disturbingauctions.com, people post weird stuff that they find on e-bay. What’s funny is the stuff that people say about the items they send in. My favorite catergory is “Emotionally Scarring Dolls”.
