I was just through my spam folder in email and was signing up for a website when I came across an email.
At first I thought it was a legitimate from one of my friends. I misread the link as deviantart and clicked it. Nothing popped up but my antivirus immediately detected a trojan.
There are worse things out on the web that one can encounter. Whats your worst?
I’m not sure it’s a good idea to post the originating addresses here. A lot of junk e-mail recycles valid addresses of people who have nothing to do with the junk in question. My address could be in this list (it’s not) and I wouldn’t find it funny.
I do kind of admire the various homages and nods to goatse – like a particular video-game where a hatchway and conduits mimicked the – um. And there was some controversy over a Time magazine cover where (if memory serves) fingers were tearing a hole in an American flag in a way that might have been inspired.
An erotic story that could only have been written by someone with the impulses of a serial killer. Torture porn + cannibalism + death… It was mixed in with normal non-torture-y, non-murder-y stories, and I didn’t understand what I was about to read until it was too late. Up until it crossed the line into nightmare fuel, I thought it was a “non-consent/bondage” story that was a little too intense, with tone issues.
I tried to tell myself it was someone just trying to understand a mind like that, but nope, I don’t believe it was.
I won’t link to it but there is a video on youtube of people being burned as “witches” (Africa, I think). As bad as watching live humans burn to death is, the vision of their accepting of their fate is just unfathomable. I will never, ever forget that video.
Probably this. At the same time, I am sort of glad the internet has a space for things of this nature. There’s a horror artist out there that needs references, and the internet is ready to provide.
Second worst thing I ever saw = for awhile there was a video called “BME Pain Olympics” floating about, which depicted
a man cutting off his own penis & testicles, accompanied by heavy metal music although I’ve since learned that it was a very realistic-looking fake. Still very nasty to watch.
First worst = 2girls1cup, definitely. Goatse, Tubgirl, Lemon Party & Meatspin were all pretty bad (actually Meatspin was kinda funny) but 2G1C wins the award for the only Internet video so far that’s actually made me puke in my mouth a little.
I’m taking out the links in the OP. Sorry if you’re just trying to help, but posting actual links to sites that you say have viruses probably isn’t the best idea.
Well… let’s just say they weren’t joking about that rule 34. For starters, who knew that there was such a thing as a panda fetish?
That said, in a way I’m more surprised by what I haven’t ever come across online, which is… child porn. Going by what the media tells you, the internet is flooded with the stuff. Still, after more than a decade of falling into (or jumping down) one rabbit hole of perversion after another (I must have consumed enough brain bleach to fill a swimming pool by now), nothing. Zip. Nada.
And thank God, obviously. I would never, ever seek it out. Still, I’m beginning to think that it doesn’t actually exist. That it’s mostly mythical, like snuff films. If it was out there, I imagine that I would have stumbled over some by now. For the longest time, I lived in fear of seeing some by accident. But no, not even a hint of it.
(If you have the links to prove me wrong, please, for the love of God, don’t post them. I don’t want to know.)
I’ve seen everything listed so far, and taken stuff like Tubgirl with a big grin, but there’s a readily available video that still haunts me, showing two Chechen men torturing and then decapitating-by-knife a Russian POW.
