Hey Ex, if you lived in Seattle I might think you were a former coworker of mine. He didn’t care for horses either since one fell over on him when he was a kid. After that he rode cows around the family farm.
Oh, about the shadow-people, maybe they’re scared of us a bit. I know several of my current colleagues are afraid of me. (I’m real scaaarrryyyy.)
And, finallly, just for the record, let me state that friday sucked gigantic donkey butt.
Speaking of golf, and Ex did, there’s an awful lot of golf down Myrtle Beach way. Actually we were south of Myrtle Beach proper, we were at Litchfield Beach, but when we went golfing we went to Murrells Inlet. It had a Pirate themed course and only one ball went into the river thing, but it got fished out so we didn’t have to drop an extra 75¢ to finish our round. The cavern hole was trickier than you’d expect, but we managed to muddle through.
When we drove through Lexington on the way back I waved around to be sure I waved at both Dwyr and Ellen.
Aw, Exgineer, now you’ve gone and upset my old guy. First he got angry. Then as he thought it over, he grew pensive. Indeed, he became so sad that he took to drink. He was really down, until I pointed out that, heck, what does a guy like that know, anyway. Then he cheered up and gave you the raspberry.
Thankee, Kalley, Ashes, Ex., Rue, and ETF! “They” say hearty laughter is great for the digestion, and, BOY!, do I need digestional aid right now. Took the fogel parental units to dinner for Father’s Day with my sister, Barbee Doll[sup]TM[/sup], and her familial units, Mini Barbee One and Two [sup]TM[/sup]. Oof, I am not used to eating big hunk o’ roast beast anymore. But, what the hey! This was Cheat Nite[sup]TM[/sup] so I threw in a couple o frozen Margaritas (Amurikun spellin), too. Now, I’m beggin alla yas to make me laugh before I explode!
I am very, very, very tired. Everything got moved in on Friday, and Mr. Lissar and Quasi-Daughter spent yesterday moving furniture around while I was at work. It looks fantastic, but it’s not finished yet. Lots more to go.
Somehow, during the second half of the move (while I was at work) it ended up that Quasi-Daughter was the only one at the new place, while there were five or six people moving stuff around at the old place. I am a little annoyed about that- poor Quasi-Daughter try to lug couches around by herself.
Sorry- I’m nattering. I’ll go get my tea now…
But first:
I am free of my Horrible Job! I’m going to buy some champagne.
