Hostile Dialect; A Word, Please.
No, exactly twice. And you say ‘threadshitting’, and I say ‘2 fairly good-natured, innocuous remarks’!
You can say what you like about it. The rest of us can read too.

You’ll get more thanks if you start making posts that merit them.

Here’s a good start.
I bet no one’s suggested you need therapy for it, though.
They most certainly have, but I see no reason why I should care what they think. Also I was originally called a dick(or maybe asshole, I don’t remember) in this thread solely for not being offended by what the OP did. I never even posted in the other thread.

that would depend on the draft position.

I guess the mods are in the business of making suggestions now. Interesting. Shouldn’t there be a sticky about that?

Some people are just that stupid, apparently. It’s a little tragic.
I bet no one’s suggested you need therapy for it, though. There’s a pretty big line between “hey, that’s a silly hobby/costume/greek philosophy, hee hee hee” and “you’re obviously emotionally stunted because you like that hobby, seek therapy, you ridiculous loser.”

(Who’re you looking at for your first round pick?)
Well, just let me modify my position to say that I think the ones who wear costumes, insist on being called by their character names, and say they hate humans are the ones who need therapy.

Works for me.
People don’t have their “own rooms” in a public mall, as far as I’m aware. If they don’t want people coming in their shop and laughing like a fucking drain, I suggest they should have coded signs on the doors.
How about a big sign at the mall entrance that says “Don’t be a jerk”, and you’re not allowed into the mall into you agree to that. And it turns out you’ve been in the mall for a couple months, and many people have already informed you that you’re breaking the rules, and you’ve been a jerk multiple times, and you’ve been explicitly reminded of the agreement you signed. **Then **you see a group of people talking about something and decide to hang out and make fun of them for a while.

Yes, the mall analogy is poor. You picked it. Perhaps those two facts are related.

Okay, okay, I’ll hold my hands up. I was wrong. I actually made 3 posts in the Furry thread.

Lest anyone need a reminder of what good old “threadshitting” looks like these days, I offer my posts below.
• wanders up and down thread, shaking head with bemusement *

Call me old fashioned, but…
The posts below were specific responses to the bolded quotes;

[My underlining and fiddling about.]

I know I shouldn’t laugh but…
“including the people who like to draw “sexy” animals and those who put gentialia on them, and those who write furry porn of varying shades.”
• wipes brow * Phew, that’s mighty relieving.

Going to see Kung Fu Panda doesn’t necessarily make one a furry,

So, don’t hold back; on a scale of 10, how high does my “threadshitting” really rate?

I know this is the Pit, but I want to sincerely applaud you for showing some understanding of the excluded middle fallacy. I hope this is a sign of the new Diogenes to come.

Threadshitting is like having a baby: either you’re doin’ it or you ain’t. You, for the record, are.

Eh, I’m mostly arguing with Dio anyway, he’s taking this to his usual extremes.

I haven’t found out where I am yet, my league manager hasn’t figured out how to fairly stuff the two new players in the draft order–in theory I’m third to last.

I think that’s a more tenable position, as it affects their daily real life and not just their personal time.

Meaningless. Even if you surrendered and admitted defeat in this thread, you’ll repeat the same behaviour tomorrow or next week on another subject and it’ll start all over.

I’ve already learned a valuable lesson from this thread.

“Furries” have feelings too, and if Marley23 says you are threadshitting, it must be true.

I’ve seen such wildly different picks after the first 3 that it’s pretty tough to predict who will be there at the end of the first round this year. Personally, I’m high on Marshawn Lynch, but sometimes he’s already gone by then. Its really a bad year for finding value at that spot, you can go completely against the standard way of thinking and try to grab both Moss and Owens at that spot, but its always tough to get consistent stats when you base your team around WRs.

The bolded bit adds what is known as context. It comes in handy sometimes.

Diogenes, I am not usually a fan, but I have to say that your posts in this thread are comedy gold. For purposes of this thread only just imagine me quoting each of your posts with a “me too”.

No shit? He’s a moderator. That’s a moderator’s job. You’re seriously complaining because a moderator called you out in a separate thread without giving you a warning or even asking you to cool it? You’re one lucky threadshitter, and you should be happy. Hell, I’m happy for you.

Hey, if I hadn’t brought all you wonderful people together, we wouldn’t be having this gig. Show some respect for the fucking roadies, man.

In context, out of context… you’re an idiot who’ll never learn because you’ve convinced yourself that’s being a jerk is funny and/or a sign of wit. You’ll just keep trying variations of the jerk routine, not understanding why it isn’t working, until you get banned.

I’ll vaguely enjoy watching the process, for what it’s worth.

Perhaps it is because my infractions were bordering on ‘wet farts’, as opposed to solid lumps of shit, eh? Still, who are we to second guess the gods…I mean mods?
