No, I’m not talking about the Chick-sanctioned cartoons discussed here. I’m talking about 9 filmmakers who’ve interpreted 9 different Chick tracts for the big screen (using actors, animation, and whatever else strikes their fancy), while still using all of the original tract elements (story, dialogue, etc.).
Already featured at the LA Film Festival, certain legal issues about copyright, music clearances, etc. means this will not be running in your local arthouse. But if you’re going to be in the vicinity of Silver Lake, CA on July 8th, you might want to check it out. Here’s a write-up.
