Cuddy always lets everyone get away with everything. She says “no” for about 10 seconds and then folds like a cheap tent. Every. Single. Time. If her character were real, she wouldn’t be able to hold an administrative job for more than a week before someone higher up realized how incompetent she is.
The proper medical term is “gams”.
What was she supposed to do? They were the only doctors who were familiar with the patient’s case.
It’s not like they weren’t allowed to get drunk. They do have nights off. They had to come in for an emergency, not for their regular hours.
She only lets house get away with everything. She gets her way with everyone else.
The subconcious plot to kill Chase was a bit off though. I may be judging Karamel’s cosmetic habits by my own, but it is a stretch for her to be using the same flavour body butter after 7-9 years, or however long it was. Maybe it was a schtick of hers, but still, I know I’d be trying out different butters/creams/moisturizers in that long a time period, experiment with the flavours, maybe some chocolate, or watermelon. 
On the other hand I’m surprised there were any real strawberries in it, not just artificial flavours and stuff (a highly technical term).
Not really. Anyone working for House is pretty much free and clear, too.
Probability of success aside, that doesn’t mean that the subconscious desire wasn’t there. House seemed to think it was, and he’d be the one to know.
OK, I see your point. Still a bit convoluted, but then this is House we’re talking about, a character so twisted an old sea dog wouldn’t want to get near those knots. And it worked very well, as I want to watch more just to see why he even THINKS he would want to kill Chase (CTB’s comment aside).
Plus, if he got enough sleep, why is CTB still hanging around. Damn the scriptwriters and their compelling plot hooks!
There’s go to be some other way to have patient care covered when one team is completely uncapacitated.
Unless you’re performing surgery, does it really matter if you’re drunk? I would think that you still retain all your medical knowledge while intoxicated, it might just take a bit longer to come to the fore. You might also have a bit of a problem weighing the options, but with three brains to weigh in, I suspect that you’d do pretty well.
The ones that House’s team gets are supposed to be pretty unusual. Any other team wouldn’t be so good. In any case, Cuddy did get them sober before they went off to treat the patient.
Well, they were all hooked up to IVs as well, so I imagine she didn’t release them until they were legally sober.

Not only that, but by the time Wilson got his turn, I would assume that anything that had been there would have been well licked off by then.
My own disbelief failed to remain airborne there as well, but for a simpler reason : a stripper who chooses to go by Karamel wears strawberry body flavour ? :dubious:

Depending on the nature of the allergy, even trace amounts can set off a reaction. Hence all the “may contain traces of nuts” lines on food ingredient listings : it’s not that they don’t know, it’s that the machines and containers used to create that food may have come in contact with nuts at some point, and that’d be enough to send someone to the ER. Contrast to body butter slathered liberally a few hours ago.
In HD, those CG flames were awful. Really took me out of the episode.
House is definitely getting more and more broken up about Kutner. He’s obviously not letting on, but he’s really bothered by it and it’s taking it’s toll on his mind

The show’s producers have made it very clear that House and Cuddy will be having sex this season, and not in flashbacks, fantasy, or any other gimmick.
