What’s more, he’d probably do a whole-brain transplant. And when that did not help, he’d have an Eureka moment, and give you an aspirin.
When Wilson lost it while talking to Cuddy - well, so did I.
Wow, Cuddy looked so frightened and upset at House’s bedside. Another momemt where I went completely verklempt. Come to think of it I had a lump in my throat practically the whole way through. Amber’s moment of realization started the eyes stinging. Now that was haunting. Wilson finding the note on the bed from Amber at the end sort of iced the depression cake.
I’m tingling though, at the prospect of next season. Come *on * September…
Plus you get to have a few more funerals.
I think House should have a brain change from the stimulation and decide that maybe he can be nice. He then dates Cuddy, but has trouble actually being nice because he’s so out of practice. Hilarity ensues.
This sounds like the pilot for the wacky spin-off, Cuddy Loves Housey.
“Everybody Loves Greg”
You can look at that two ways…

Really?
Well, she wasn’t called CTB for nothing. She was somewhat lacking in social skills (at least at first).
I never did look up amantidine, so for all I know, it does cause a rash. She didn’t look like she was coming down with 'flu, but I’ll let it go…
I thought it was his grandmother who was severe with his father and that the story House told about being beaten was not about himself but his father?
I thought he made that story up.
He substituted “grandmother” for father. His dad is an ex-Marine (or Navy?) and they have a difficult relationship. He describes it in detail in episode 12, season 3.

He may well have made the entire thing up, but it would seem to make sense, given his personality traits (IANAPsychiatrist).
Sorry I’m late to the game, folks. Busy week, so I just now got to watch the episode.
I’m less concerned about Wilson’s relationship with House and more concerned with how this will effect Wilson on a larger scale. It was one thing when Wilson was constantly involved in failed relationships. But now he KNOWS he’d found true love, and he’s lost it without really having had time to enjoy it. What kind of person is he going to be now? Is he still going to have the same kind of empathy for his patients? That character has the potential to be incredibly intriguing next season.
Beyond that, I can only echo everyone else’s sentiments. So excellent, and so depressing. The scene with Wilson coming home brought back a very sad 17 year old memoriy of coming home to an empty house knowing that one of the occupants wasn’t ever coming home.
Since when is network TV supposed to do that to you?
Just caught up on my DVR stuff last night, so I’m a little late with this.
That moment will be burned in the TV memory portion of my brain forever. As it is, I can’t get the picture of Amber with that look , saying, "I’m dead! " out of my head. Truly an amazing moment.
I may be in the minority here, but I really liked CB; in fact, I liked her a lot more than 13.
Will all this change House? I doubt it. They’ve tried to change his character before, with not much success. Truth is, House has to remain who he is, or this is just another doctor show. House’s character is what makes the show. Now, granted, he was a little over the top this season, so maybe he’ll tone it down a hair, but a complete character makeover would pretty much spell death for the show.
I think 13 will quit and join Doctors without Borders or something, paving the way for Cameron to rejoin the team.
Can’t wait till September!
Sorry, I reskimmed the thread and don’t think this was addressed: why did Amber get on the bus with House? She came to pick him up; didn’t she drive to get him? Once she saw that he was on the bus, why wouldn’t she have driven home? He clearly wasn’t too drunk to find his way back home on the bus lines-- what possible reason could she have had for going with him?
She got on to give him his cane, which he had left in the bar.
