Jennifer Morrison is a natural blonde. She darkened her hair for the first couple of seasons, and recently resumed her natural hair color.
Okay, let me get this straight.
- PotW has latent Leprosy.
- She gets pregnant and the hormones cause it to flare up.
- The Leprosy messes up her fallopian tubes.
- Which explains why her pregnancy is ectopic.
Don’t they have medical people go over this? There are no detectable hormones in a pregnancy until the fertilized ovum implants. Once it implants it’s not moving.
Did anyone else notice the funny sideways glance Chase made at the end of the operation? This Is a Forboding.
Nitpick: On the show Amber was called “CB”, hence here full title would be “Cutthroat Bitch”. Two words, not three.
Wow.
Thanks for posting that. That line got lost between the DVR cutting off “House” and picking up “Fringe”.
One of the best lines ever.
Tell you what, I’m sorry to see Wilson go, but if he decides to stay, I’ll be even more disappointed. House finally has to face consequences for his cumulative dickishness; if he’s allowed to get away with it relatively unscathed this time, there’s absolutely no hope for any growth for the character whatsoever.
Frankly, the whole “House is an asshole, but he’s a brilliant asshole, so anything he does is OK because he usually saves the patient at the last minute” thing is getting really old; I would truly like to see at least a minor change in his attitude.
I don’t think House can change his attitude. The man is a sociopath.
Also, somebody remind me how Chase became a surgeon? He was an internist, right?
Took online courses?
He was an intensivist.
I don’t remember exactly, but I thought the patient’s chemotherapy was responsible for something—maybe the leprosy flaring up, which would make sense since chemo weakens the immune system. The pregnancy came after.
I’m very ambivalent, because I think the show has pretty much jumped the shark. It’s not just “tactless truthfulness,” it’s also emotional blackmail, he’s actual kidnapped patients, coerced them, ignored potentially dying patients… the idea of putting up with his outrageous behavior got me through the first few seasons, and I loved the show, but his behavior is now way WAY the hell beyond what any hospital could put up with. Or what any human being could tolerate.
I was initially going to write this off, because I don’t like watching him any more. (Hugh Laurie is brilliant, it’s House I can’t stand.) However, if the writers have actually got characters like Wilson saying, “This is a pathetic excuse for a human being and I won’t put up with abuse any more,” then perhaps the show can un-jump the shark.
I agree with everyone else about the fledglings: the writers should have either kicked off the old trio and brought in the new trio, or should have never bothered to bring in unnecessary characters.
You know, I think I’m going to be entirely okay with that. Really. Not a problem.
Maybe Doctor Thirteen wouldn’t have gotten the sad Huntington’s diagnosis if she didn’t have the unlucky name 13. Har Har.
Same here, darn it. I had it in my head that all new shows are starting in the last week of Sept and completely missed any promos. I’ll keep an eye out on USA; thanks for the tip, cochrane.
Umm, the chemo came well after the surgery to end the ectopic pregnancy. The deal with the chemo was that is first would knock back the leprosy some but then would supress the immune system and That Would Be Bad. So she was feeling better (and the facial effects of leprosy went away) but was soon going to feel a whole lot worse.
It wasn’t exactly a “Momento” episode. Events in the episode happened in real time order.
I liked at the very end when House is just standing there and Wilson drops his bombs and walks away - no way to tell if House was taking it in and thinking that maybe he should human up a little, or if he was plotting his next machination. Love that.
(I thought at first that maybe Wilson was going to declare his love for House, but then he broke up with him. Interesting.)
stupid question: why did people’s tivos cut off? I was actually paying attention to the time, and Fringe started at exactly 9pm, following the blurb for the next House. Does Tivo programming make it cut off before the hour-mark?
From the previews for this week’s episode, it was the latter. I love it too.
Tivo is your friend.
Mine cut off too, even though it wasn’t recording anything in the next hour. I have now told it to add another minute to House.
I was checking my DVR settings for this week, and I noticed that it has House set to end at one minute past the hour. Which screwed up the stuff I wanted to record after House is over, since my DVR can only record two shows at a time, but I was able to work around it.
I can’t figure out how to get my cable company DVR to record five extra minutes for all my weekly record-first-run shows. It won’t save a custom time setting for those, although I can do it for one-off recordings.
You’re welcome. The season premiere will be repeated on USA this Friday the 26th at 11:00 PM Eastern.
